Diary Entry for 6/26/2001

A hot sunny day. Vern brought me home. June had to work at hospital. Vern and I went to Theresa funeral home for Merrill’s ashes. We brought a dark red urn for them. $150. We went to cemetery. We couldn’t get hold of Kenneth Gardner. We ate lunch at Pizza Hut. It was packed with soldiers. Vern took me to the store for groceries. He left about 2:45. Kenneth Gardner called in evening. I called Lyla in PM. Jolie called in evening. 22 million people have died from the Aids disease.
