Used our new church organ for first. Sounded great. 104 out. Eleanor and girls and Luke went to church with us. They left about 3 PM. Cloudy but warmer. Water pump bothering.

Cold and below zero. Very windy. Snow blowing. Roads closed Pulaski and south. Merrill went to Theresa for pump switch, $6.87. Pastor-Parish meeting at CEC was postponed.

Wrote Uncle Berl. Bible Study at UMW canceled because of stormy weather.

Stormy most of day. Cleared in evening. Washed clothes. Got letter from Martha Meeks. Dr. Sommers, 11:30. Had metal smoothed off on lower plate. Merrill worked on income tax.

Down to zero early in AM but a nice day. We went to Philadelphia for groceries. Merrill shoveled out Minister’s garage door. I cleaned refrigerator at church and unplugged it. Merrill set hot water heater back to 148°. Was 165°

4-H here. Fruit Delights. Only Marie, Lisa N and Lisa B and Donna here. Pat B here to help with heifer. Made myself flannel pajamas. Down to zero this morning. Nice day. Lorraine B’s father real sick in New Jersey.

Beautiful day. Warmer. Marie here to sew. Jim, Patty, and girls here for supper. Jolie had her hair cut for first time. Looks so cute. She brought me a lock of her hair.

Very snowy and windy all day. A lot of churches closed. We had church but not Sunday School. 47 out to church. David J went with us.

Pastor Parish meeting, CEC. All there but Mr. Ball. We are going to have Gordon Smiley estimate wiring jobs in parsonage and church. Merrill went to Lodge. Was at Ross Melrose’s. Merrill plowed driveways.

Warm and thawing. I went to Bible Study. We went to Ennis for barn cleaner blades. Got material for dress and jacket, blue. Got 10% discount, 4-H leader. Stopped at Brenda and Bill’s. Called Dr. Robbers and 4-H office.

Got Valentine from Vern’s. Nice day, but stormy in evening. Merrill took me to Rebekah’s at Marguerites, 13 out. Merrill stayed at Ross Melrose. Merrill drove pigeons out of Lodge Hall attic. Vern called. They are coming Sunday.

Cleaned stove pipes. Washed clothes. Fried donuts. Got Valentine from Jolie and Jill.

Jim called. Joel Eric Tryon born at 12:47 Friday the 13th. 7 pounds, 8 ounces. June called. They can’t come this weekend. Boys have school Monday. We went to hospital to see Patty and baby. Went to Sackets for girls. Jill has fever from teeth. Called Mom.

Girls are getting along fine. Jill is so cute. Jolie is so good to her. Jim here for supper. The girls wanted to go home with him.

We took the girls to church with us, 97 out to church. Jolie made Valentines in church.

B-12 shot. Mother Tryon’s 87th birthday. Jolie and I went to Marilyn’s in evening. Washed and cleaned house. Washed my hair. Patty and Joel got home from hospital. They called in evening. Beautiful day.

Rainy and freezing. Wrote Jim’s and Vern’s. Lorraine B called. Pat gets home from New Jersey today. Been there since Friday. Brenda, Mark and Billy here in PM. Jill has a rash. Looks like measles. Called Jim’s in evening.

Jill’s first birthday. Jolie and I made her cake. Had birthday supper. Marie and Lorraine here for cake and ice cream. They sewed on 4-H outfits. Jolie and I went to store. Lyle Murphy, 28, died in Buffalo this morning. Cathy had a baby girl in evening. Jim’s called.

Nice day. Jolie played outside. Washed clothes. Mended girls clothes. I’ve had headache all day. Lorraine here to collect for Lyle M.

Marie here to sew in PM. Lorraine in evening. Mary here also. Had vet for cow. She has sore leg. Rainy. MYF pie sale. They cleared $152. Called Patty in evening.

I didn’t go to church. Merrill went. We took Jolie and Jill home in PM. Joel is so cute. Girls saw him for first. Cute to see them together. Our car wouldn’t start at Jim’s. Took hour to get it going. Lorraine and Marie here all day sewing. We went to Theresa funeral home for Lyle.

Danny’s 9th birthday. Sent him card, $5. Lyle Murphy’s funeral. I took Marie to Dress Evaluation. Others went by themselves. Cleaned house. “Small business” man here. We didn’t renew it. Cold but nice.

No Bible Study. Phone out in AM. Merrill went over to Pat B’s to report it. Merrill went to Theresa to get hair cut. I went to Mrs. Beardsley’s. She gave me soap cross for Elgin B. She is happy to have one go to Canada. They say Murphy baby, Cathy, is back in hospital.

Didn’t get the milk check again today. A beautiful warm day. I washed clothes and hung them out doors. Merrill cut wood for first since last fall. I didn’t go to Lodge.

Finally got milk check. 19 4-H members and friends went roller skating and to McDonalds. Mary took a load. Jamie, Jennifer, and Dawn didn’t go. Roger, Shari Rude, Brenda Backus and Patsy went. Beautiful day, warm. Called Jim’s from city.

Another nice day. Sent light bill, $118.22. Boots and I went to Philadelphia for groceries. Made donuts and 2 pumpkin pies and 1 apple pie in PM. Washed rugs. Got letter from Mrs. Beardsley.

Cleaned floors. Washed clothes. Merrill took Organ Fund Receipt to Martin Rudes.

Leap year. Orv’s 72nd birthday We went to church. Took flowers from Lyle M funeral. Rev. Cameron has flu but good sermon. Jim, Pat, girls, and Joel here for supper. Joel’s first time out. 16 days old. He is such an alert baby. Jill walking all over. We watched Sound of Music on TV until 10:30.
