Diary Entry for 10/6/1992

Blood mobile at Legion. We went to drug store and then out to Don’s. Stopped at hospital to see Roy but he had been moved to Madonna Home on September 29th. Also shopped at Woolworths. Merrill got first hair cut at Judy’s, $3.00.

Diary Entry for 10/12/1992

Columbus Day. Thanksgiving Day in Canada. No school or mail. Doris H called with Montgomery Ward number Dennis called her with. Merrill worked at wood. Jolie called from Shawn’s mother’s. She is still down there. Baby has cold.

Bible Study at Philadelphia, 7 PM. We didn’t go as Merrill was too tired. He worked at the wood all day. Colder but sunny. I called stove company about stove grates. One’s they have are too large. Heather and Gilenda here this morning.

Got 2nd load of wood from Don’s. Wood truck broke down here so we went to Adams and Don’s. Bob Boscheck got home from Florida last night. Jim here on cycle awhile. Had been to meeting at Gouverneur. He had to get back to work. Gave Don $100 for trucking.

Sent Aunt Maude birthday card. She’s 87 today. Jim, Jolie, Baby Shawn, Sue, and little Ashley here for supper. Kids are growing so fast. Merrill worked at church in AM. Snowing hard in evening for first.

Diary Entry for 10/21/1992

Mom and Dad were married 78 years ago today on the Cooledge farm where her parents lived at the time. Froze beets. Sent copy of check to Blairs about dress I haven’t received. Merrill raked leaves here and helped at church.

Church supper. Merrill went over for take outs. Very good. Made apple and apricot pies for it. They served supper from new kitchen. Have to move stove up yet. Water all hooked up. Merrill finished putting rest of wood down cellar.
