Fran Soluri’s 66th birthday. I called her. Good to talk with her. Has been years. Raining. Merrill took garbage. I washed clothes. I made lemon and blueberry pies, and rolls. 60° great day. Thunder storm in evening.

Power went out at 12:55 AM. Terrible ice storm all over Jefferson and some of St. Lawrence County. Jim called to check on us. Bad at Sackets. Rev. Carol called. Bob 13, and Dean M here. Lots of folks called. Joey here to contact NiMo.

Still no power. Bad all over. Doreen called. I called Debby. Jim called in evening. The city is a mess. Driving curfew still in affect. No school or businesses open. Linda was over. Vivian brought us chili and smores. Called Lyla.

A beautiful sunny day. Got Times for 3 days. Jim and Vern called. Trees are like diamonds. Power came back on at 5:45 AM. Off 51 hours. Belile’s power lines still lying on the ground. I called NiMo again. Power went off again at 8:25. Vivian brought us supper. Ken Sixberry died.

County traffic ban lifted. Also city. Very windy. Got 2nd letter from Donnie. He is lonesome for his family. Vivian brought over supper. Jim called 3 times. John K, Betty Rudes and 2 guys brought a generator for furnace. Great to have heat. Cha was over.

Rebekah’s to funeral home for Ken S, 2 PM. Merrill and I went in evening. Got groceries. Power came back on. Off 133 hours. Talked with Vivian several times. Firemen came after generator. John K here also. Sunny but cold. Jim called in evening. Vivian brought us supper.

Rev. Bob McClune guest speaker at church. Roger Taylor died this morning. Jim and Jill here. Jill drove both ways. Had new Explorer van. Jim cut up wood. Vern called. Also Cheryl, Vera, and Jolie.

Men started work on church wall. Sunny and cold, 10° this morning. Kyle P Hanson and his father Mike W. Priola of 252 Winslow Street. Pictures are in. Sent card to Noreen Riley in Carthage hospital. Wrote Donnie. Boscheck girls over.

Dr. Siegel, 10:00 AM. Took blood for tests. We shopped. I bought myself a walking cane, $9.54. Lenten Study at Mills, 7:30. We were too tired to go. I may have muscle damage from iron shots I have had.

Olan Mills, 3-4. Ordered 125. 14 pictures. Called Dr. Scanlon’s office. Merrill got birthday card and letter from Beulah M. Donnie leaves Saudi Arabia Thursday, March 21. Girls not here. Made appointment to have tooth out. April 8 at Gouverneur, Dr. Novich.

Donnie Hanson leaves Saudi Arabia today for Fort Stuart Georgia and then home. I sent thank you to firemen. The guy came after Explorers bus that has been parked here for years. Merrill got several cards and notes.

Merrill’s 82nd birthday. Beulah, Gladys, and Jim called him. Church supper $5.30. Ham and scalloped potatoes. We went. Merrill had diarrhea when he got home. Jim and Gloria Collins in accident last night going to hospital. Very slippery in evening.

Rebekahs. I didn’t go. They went to funeral home for Norine. Merrill and I met them there. We got groceries in AM. Went to Bible Study at Mills in evening. Merrill got card and note from Juanita. Donnie back in USA.

Dr. Sommer, 9:20. Had 3 teeth filled, $86.00. Terrible wind most of day. Lots of damage. Took food to Riley’s. Maundy Thursday services at Philadelphia. Communion. Great service, 55 out.

Bonnie Castle with Vern’s. Steve, Kathy, Dan and Robin there also. A first time there for all of us. Great. Vern and June here for lunch. Brought us a family picture of them. They want us to have their car. June has a new one, 1988.

Jill was named to National Honor Society. Easter Sunday. We went to Sunrise service. Our Olan Mills pictures were left on Mail box overnight. Great church service, 94. Jim, Sue, Jill, Joel, and friend Tony here for dinner. Brought us 2 mum plants, yellow and purple. Vern’s brought us 3 poplar trees yesterday.
