Sent for silverware for June. Wrote Pauline Cornish. Sent Bob Griffin card. Wrote Vern’s. Sent $1 to TB and Bible Society. Merrill and boots went to Mills and had snow tires put on. Jim and Kenny went up to woods hunting for a week.

Voted at 8:45 AM, Numbers 46 and 47. Lewis Weaver came after his other five cows, Paid $1150 balance. Merrill dug carrots and beets. Jimmy Carter won US President by narrow margin over Jerry Ford, by 2%

Merrill went to Theresa bank and to Vi’s for kids clothes. Nice day. Warmer. Sent milk for last time. Sent 6 cows to replacement sale at DeKalb Junction, Trumble. Patty, Jill, and Joel here. Jim is still hunting. Got invited to party for Ken and Eleanor’s 30th anniversary. We went to Bible Study. Only 5 out.

We went to city and out to Mom’s. Had lunch there. Stopped at L.J. Chellis. Paid off Farm Loan, $1048.99. We still own 107 shares of stock, value $535. They say 8% interest this year. Stopped at Uncle Lloyds and Beulah’s. Stopped at hospital to see George Waters and Bob Griffin. Got apples and potatoes.

Got cow check, $1133 profit. Merrill and Boots went to Agway for a handle, $3.19. Merrill cut wood. Washed clothes. Nice day. Don Turner here for Extension Dues, $3. Got 4-H stuff. 4-H here. Nine here. Business meeting. They danced afterward.

4-H here. Oriental supper. 9 here for supper. Brancatella’s, Lamica’s and Jackie not here. Very warm. Merrill fixed threshold at Parsonage. Jennifer Bush joined 4-H. Called Aunt Maude. She and Cheryl and Marion are going to Gilson’s tomorrow.

Dr. Scanlon, 1:30. Everything OK. Ordered new glasses at Chellis as my frames are falling apart. Didn’t need new lenses. Merrill got me Brother typewriter at Century. Got new coffee maker, glass, $5.70. Got eye drops and iron pills at Fays. Merrill put $1000 in Philadelphia bank.

No school. Over 4 inches of snow over night at Oswego. We went to city. I got all new glasses at Chellis, $94. Got black shoes at Woolworth’s. Did Christmas shopping. Run car thru car wash and wax. Sent Leslie birthday card. Today is his 62nd birthday.

Party for Ken and Eleanor’s 30th anniversary. 7 PM Buffet. About 100 there. Nice party. Vern and June came. Called Patty and Mom. Jim is on undercover assignment in city. Kids sick with colds again . Merrill worked at Carl Horton’s.

Ken and Eleanor’s 30th. Jim, Patty and kids here for PM and supper. Jolie still sick with cold. Jill and Joel better. Made pie. Merrill put lock on at parsonage. Merrill dug dahlia’s and put lawn fence away.

Howard and boys helped Merrill pile rest of hay partition [?]. Brought over three heifers to board. Waxed kitchen floor. Washed rugs. Merrill got hair cut at Theresa. Dawn and Paura [?] here to sew pot holders. Got letters from Marg and Uncle Berl and Vern’s. Aunt Keitha real sick.

My birthday, 59th. Merrill gave me Brother typewriter. We went to Sunday School and church. Tracy Robertson in charge. Cameron’s in Florida for new 75 car. We went out to Mom’s in PM. Ate lunch in Carrolls. Stopped at Mercy Hospital to see Aunt Keitha. Gave Debby card and $1.

Debby’s 17th birthday. Washed clothes. Mom goes to Dr. Roberts. Made pies. Cameron’s got home from Florida with new car, $4700. Administrative Board meeting, 10 out. Good meeting. Kinley Bowers our new mail man started today.

Mom called in evening. Aunt Keitha had operation. They took part of her stomach. Dr. Roberts gave Mom kidney medicine. I made cookies, donuts, and rolls. Snow flurries. Lots of snow in Adams and Oswego way. Got card and note from Ken’s. Merrill cleaned floors.

Terribly snowy here all day. Called Vern and Dan not to come tonight. Nice there. We worked at church. Went to Theresa. Merrill got snow shovel, $7.15. Thanksgiving eve service at Methodist Church. Only about 60 there because of weather. Antwerp, Oxbow and Evans Mills. Nice service.

Rainy, Windy, sun out some. Snowed all gone. Merrill worked at Horton’s all day. I washed clothes. Ironed table cloth. Washed my hair. We went to Freddie Fender show at the high school put on my PBA. Very good. Every seat taken for two shows.
