Merrill helped with chores at Horton’s. Mark is in hospital at Cobbleskill for tests. Cheryl and Carl with him. Minister called to say all apportionment’s are paid. Sent Ken card and letter.

We went to Jim’s for dinner. Patty cooked it in her new microwave. Kim and Brian Spink had baby girl, Tracy Lynn, 6 lb, 9 oz today. Stopped in city on way home. Got home about 6 PM. A beautiful day, like spring. Merrill went to dump in morning. Stopped at June’s. Got December check from them.

We went for groceries. Cold but a beautiful sunny day. A chemical truck overturned on Route 81 at midnight releasing TD1. People and animals moved out within 1/2 mile radius in 1 hour. Went back in homes about 7 PM.

Wrote Vern’s. Agway here with fuel oil. Put in 44 gallons @1.29. We have used only 173 gallons so far this fall due to mild weather and food fire. Got letter from Uncle Berl. He is okay now. Taking antibiotics

Audrey Puffer’s birthday, 59. Went for groceries. Paid County taxes, $454.39 to Don Cooke Sr. Nice day. Got letter from Vern’s. They are still having car problems. Darcy here. Furnace at parsonage overheating.

We went to church and Sunday School, 63 out. Aunt Maude sick and didn’t go. We took Horton’s home as their car wouldn’t start. Audrey called. Jim was home sick all week with flu. He taught CPR to police Saturday and Sunday. Patty sick today.

The Eagle Hotel burned to ground during the night. Snowing some. It was 96 years old and a landmark in Philadelphia. Hated to see it go. Jim is back working 9-5 shift. He is back as instructor. Wrote Gloria Verbridge. Administrative Council at parsonage, 15 out. Sent HEAP application for fuel. Grand day. Merrill went to work with Horton’s in PM.

UMW at Vi’s, 13 there. Week of Prayer and Self Denial program. Judy and I on refreshment committee. Angel food cake with whip cream and cherries. Very warm and rainy. No snow anywhere. We went for groceries in PM.

We went to church, 67 out. Rev. Salisbury leaves at 2:30 PM for New Mexico for meetings. Will be home Saturday. Jim, Pat and kids here for PM and supper. Darcy and Joey here. Kids went skating. Jim is back on old job, nine to five.

Snowing lightly all day, 25°. Sent for 12 rolls wall paper for living room from Robinson’s. Sent light bill, $104.00 and my Blue Cross. Very snowy in other places. Got letter from Melba and Elmer.

A great day but cold all day. We went to city all day. Got paint for living room. Got cleaner bags, $10.99. I got two blouses, white and 1 black and white. Got blue dress. Got note from June. I went to Rebekah’s in evening. Got new thermometer for outside.

-20° over night. Only up to 10° all day. Sunny all day. Got letter from Beulah Macklin. Roy having troubles with stomach. The rest are well. Juanita has been to see Karen in Rochester and met Karen’s boy friend. He is a pianist and composer.

Uncle Ray Haggerty died 14 years ago today. We went to Florida with Halls 5 years ago today. Sent Joel card and $5.00 .-12° overnight. Cold all day but sunny. We went for groceries. Merrill thawed pipes at church. Washed clothes.

Zero degrees last night. Terrible snowstorms in Virginia, Washington, New York City, and Philadelphia, PA. Everything at a standstill. Cold and sunny here. Washed clothes. Got letter from Uncle Berl. Merrill cleaned floors. Rev. Salisbury got home from week in New Mexico.

Wrote Vern’s. Just a great day. In the 40’s. I got living room wall paper by UPS. Philadelphia and Evans Mills trustees, parsonage committee, and Rev. Owen DS, met at parsonage with Rev Salisbury. Decision made for Evans Mills to pay Philadelphia trustees monthly rent of $125. To be voted on. They have only paid part of utilities so far all these years.

Got 2 cords of wood from Horton’s, $50. They brought it with tractor. I called Doris Haggerty in evening. She was in car accident Sunday on Creek Road. She had broken ribs. Her new car totaled. My arthritis bad today.

Very warm, 45° cloudy. Merrill put rest of wood down cellar. Joey brought me pussy willows. Carl Scee called. Sounded so much better. He is in Madonna Home. First he called since his stroke months ago. Deanne Hall’s 1st birthday.

Jill’s 8th birthday. Like spring today. Washed clothes. Sackets Harbor Fishing Derby today and tomorrow. Rev. Salisbury called. She goes to Holy Land March 16-31. Bertha Gleason died at 7 PM this evening.
