Boscheck girls here in morning. Cold but sunny, 20°. Wrote Donnie in Saudi Arabia. Made Christmas cookies. Gerald Scee’s ex wife, Beverly, 60 died today. They have three daughters, Judy Netto (?), Patty Brown (?), and Cindy Lackenaur (?).

Diary Entry for 12/7/1990

We put up decorations. Sent Rev. Carol birthday c card. Rev. Carol fell in front of village office and broke her right leg. She is in hospital until Monday. They will set it with pins and steel plate and put on a cast. I called District Superintendent and others to let them know.

Our 55th anniversary. Boscheck girls here in morning. down to 10° last night. Sent 14 Christmas cards. Helen and Margaret Kiechle both called. Got cards and notes from Beulah M, Marie Barker, and anniversary card from Doris and Art. Bob Boscheck got home from Long Island.

We went to church 110. Sunday School program during church hour. Refreshments after. All just great. We called on Vera Rosbrook. Ecumenical church service, 7:00, at our church in evening. All churches in town. 190 there at service. Offering for Baptist Food Pantry, $140.00.

MYF caroling, 16 here. Gave them punch. Wrapped Christmas gifts in PM. I called Vern and June. Jim called in PM. Jill and Joel going to Patty’s for dinner Christmas Day. Jim to have Sunday and Monday off after 1st of the year. Warm, height 57°.

Raining. Cooler in PM and evening. We went to Sunday School 37, and church 59. Nice. We gave Joyce tape of Lula Rowin. she gave us gifts. Most all signed Carol’s cast. Cha and Stephen here in evening. Gave me lap robe and Merrill candy.

Christmas Eve service at Mills. 7 PM. We didn’t go to it. Too cold and slippery. Took lunch to Carol. Rosie and Sue there. Snowed last night and all forenoon. Snow for Christmas. Boscheck left loaf of banana bread on door.

Gleason’s took Rev. Carol to Syracuse airport for 7 AM flight to Ohio. She got there okay. She called Rosie about 10 AM. A beautiful day. sunny, cold, and white. Only Jim here for dinner. Jill and Joel went to Patty’s. Jim called in morning. Jolie and Shawn here in PM.
