Clinic: Blood pressure 162/102. Merrill’s is 126/75. Aunt Maude went also. Darcy was over to show me her new clothes. Today is Gary Belile’s 47th birthday. Linda is 35. Merrill cut wood all day. School started today.

Reception for District Superintendent, Alison Wood in evening. Meeting on church repair, to see about heating and storm windows. 12 out. We voted in primaries. They announced expansion of Fort Drum today for 10th Infantry with 6500 soldiers. Helicopter division to come later.

Diary Entry for 9/20/1984

UMW Black River District meeting at First Church in city. I didn’t go. We went for groceries. Real warm, 78°. Had tire fixed on Buick. There was a nail in it. Trustee meeting at church. Lasted until 10:30. Talked about heating, insulation etc. Frank here with fuel oil for first this fall.

We went to Sunday School and church. Had Sunday School in parsonage, 4 there. We went to Jim’s after church. Had lasagna. Patty took her mother to emergency room but they couldn’t find anything wrong.

We went to Sunday School and church, 51 there. Rev. Bea taught our class. A nice sunny day. In the 60’s. Jim’s here for supper. They have 1977 Chevrolet sedan now. I gave Jennifer Drake a cactus plant. She and Kevin came for it.
