Raining and cloudy all day. Communion Sunday. We went to church 43 out. Children’s Miracle Network telethon on yesterday and today $200,000 raised locally. More than last year.

Great day. 73°. I washed my black and navy clothes. Washed Merrill’s tan clothes. Jim here on his bike in PM. He had mowed Cliff’s lawn. Transportation called to see if Merrill was going to day care Tuesday and Thursday. Merrill slept all night in bed. A good night. Timothy McVeigh found guilty of Oklahoma City bombing. To be sentenced Wednesday.

Sunny all day. 70° Merrill went to day care. First time in 2 weeks. Don didn’t ride on Merrill’s bus. Robin’s birthday. Elmer’s 70th birthday. I washed my yellow 3 piece suit and tan jacket. Vivian was over in evening. Pauline R called in evening.

Another great day. Sunny all day. 75°. We took off more storm windows. We can’t find bedroom screens. Good to have fresh air in house. Merrill mowed part of lawns. Clark worked up our garden with our rota tiller. Dr. Mirza’s office called to change Merrill’s appointment from June 16 to June 18 at 10 AM. Jim called in evening on his way home to Sackets.

Sunny nice day. Merrill went to day care. I cleaned store room up stairs. Some mess up there. Took me 4 ½ hours. Clark worked our garden again. He found bedroom screens in garage that Merrill couldn’t find yesterday. Clark brought us 6 more tomato plants. Agway filled our fuel oil tank today 138 gallons at $1.049 a gallon. I called Lyla. Her bronchitis is getting better. Vern called in evening. Robin has a job teaching 1st and 2nd grade in a private school for next year.

Sunny summer day. Tina and her supervisor Pat Wilkerson here. Everything okay. I got upstairs windows open for summer. I washed clothes. Merrill planted tomato plants in garden. Also planted 7 hills of cucumbers. Merrill mowed side lawn.

Cloudy day. No sun. Rained at suppertime. We took garbage. Got groceries. I took shower and washed my hair when we got home. Merrill planted pole beans and we planted marigold seeds by flagpole. I washed clothes. Jim B was over. He got a very low millage white sports car 1983 for an investment. Monte Carlo 55. Beliles have new siding-grey and insulation for their house. Linda has enlisted for 6 more years in reserves. She has been in 20 years. I made fruit cocktail cake. Merrill cleaned floors. Robert Congdon called. They are coming tomorrow.

A real sunny and warm day. 72° We didn’t go to church. Sunday School picnic after church today. Robert, Cheryl, and Breanne here for dinner. A nice day together. Breanne is a sweet little girl. She will be in 6th grade next year. Robert cut tree limbs in driveway. They live in Savannah. Jill called. They have a new car. Honda. Jim has to go to Korea for a year August 15th.He is also up for E=6 rating and needs to go to Enock, Missouri for 2 months to earn it so they have to make some plans for their future.

Great day. Transportation called. They have a driver names Jane to drive us to Carthage hospital. Margaret Waters called about Rebekah’s going out to eat. Jim called in evening. Ashley has chicken pox. Joel and his girl friend are on the way to Iowa. She is from Iowa. Beliles are tearing front porch off their house.

A sunny day. Merrill mowed back lawn. Jim mowed it again in evening. I washed summer clothes. I froze packages of asparagus. We went to Agway for gas. Jim came out any took our car in to be inspected. I wrote Debby. Margaret Waters called. I’m to ride with Betty tomorrow. Vivian was over in PM. Jim said Joel called. They got to Iowa all okay at midnight.

Sunny warm. PNG’s go out to eat at noon. I went with Betty. A very nice restaurant lunch outside. Merrill to day care so I can go out with Past Grands. Jim came out after work and finished mowing lawn. They look great.

Sunny and warm 72° Don on bus when they brought Merrill home. Merrill went to day care. I washed the clothes on the china doll I won on raffle at Rebakahs years ago. Betty Flikes made it. I called association of the blind about getting large cassettes. She is coming Tuesday. Merrill got Father’s day card from Patty.

Cloudy. Friday the 13th. I talked with Martha and Vi. We went for groceries in PM. I made popcorn in evening. Beliles have siding off their house. They tore off front porch. Will have just a patio. Mr. Bleam is doing it.

Cooler but sunny 67° high. I washed my hair. Washed some clothes. Vern called. He came for lunch. June didn’t come as she was going to a wedding shower. Vern brought his dad a poplar shade tree to Father’s Day. They planted it in the back yard. Vern put a new switch on my rose touch light. He fixed the railing on the back porch. Jim called in PM from work. He also talked with Vern. Jim worked a special DWI patrol last night.

A great super day. We went to church. Not too many out. Jim called when we got home from church. He said he had stuff for a cook out and they’d be out. Jim, Sue, and Ashley came with new screen house for us. It is real nice. They set it up. Jolie, Shawn Michael, and Carmon came. Then Jill and Jim and then their friends Brian and Tonya. We had a nice time together. Joel called his dad here for Father’s day from Iowa. The four new trees in front of the church look so great. They are quite tall and are looking great.

Windy but sunny. Merrill cleaned floors. They didn’t get cleaned this weekend. Rev. Elaine White here to call in PM. Jim here with new lawn mower (Dickson mower) from Tillman’s, Theresa. He mowed our lawns. He was here for supper. It is in the nightly paper that my eye doctor, Dr. Wershinski has left the city. Dr. Moreton Richman taking his place.

Rained hard during night. Sun came out about noontime. Merrill went to day care. Her first visit to me, Association for the blind lady. 10 AM. Linda Beyette (Married to a Lorraine Beyette) gave me free pens, pad, needle threader, calendar etc. I called Lyla. She still has a cough. Alice Flaherty called in PM. We had a nice visit. I washed clothes. Jim had accident a year ago today on Arsenal Street. Today would be Mom’s 105th birthday.

Raining all day. 72° high. Dr. Mirga 10 AM. Janet driver. Everything real good with Merrill. We saw Sina and Flora L there. Jim was on TV local news tonight about neighborhood watch program.

Cloudy d ark day. Some sun in PM. Tina was here. Will be back in 3 weeks. Merrill’s pulse 64. Merrill got his hair cut in PM. $5.00 We got groceries in PM. We fixed bracket for breakfast room window. Merrill has trouble doing things that used to be so easy for him. Jim called in evening on way home to Sackets. He had been up mowing Sue’s lawns at cabin. Tresises left for camp for the summer.

First day of summer. Cloudy hot and humid. Windy 85° high. Thunderstorm during night. We took garbage and newspapers and cardboard. I washed clothes. Merrill cleaned floors. Graduation in new auditorium for first time. 138 graduates. Nathan McKeever, Jennifer Drake and Jeff Sharkey on our street graduated.

A nice day but still windy. Thunderstorm in night again. 75° high. Rained about 7:30 PM. We went to church. Only 20 out. Jolie called in PM. She has got moved in with a friend for a month on base of 342. Her phone at friends is . I called June and Vern in PM. Hazel Seery stopped over from Jenifer’s graduation party. We were out in screen house. Good to see her. The airplane sprayed for mosquitoes in evening. Very smelly.

Cooler. Sunny. I called Syracuse for an appointment for Merrill. Got one with Dr. Maller 7/7/97 at 2:30 PM. Jolie called to say they have found her an apartment not far from Jill’s. Merrill mowed side lawn. Jim called at 7:30 PM and said he was on his way to mow back lawn. His new lawn mower does a great job.

Raining. Cloudy day. Sun out after suppertime. Merrill went to day care. I sent June birthday card, letter, and $10.00. Jim came out at suppertime and finished the lawns. They look nice. Jim brought drugs from Pharmhouse. Lots of cars by here. Road by school closed to traffic.

Cloudy. Partly sumy. Merrill went to day care. I washed clothes. I made a lemon cake for Saturday. I received a call from Andy Warick form NY City about doing TV survey for a week. Elmer Gleason here with Republican papers to sign. Will come back when Merrill is home. Sue and girls went picking strawberries. They brought me some to freeze. I froze them in the evening. 6 bags. $10.00 worth. They are large this year, but late. Lyla called in PM.

A great day. We went for groceries in the morning I made potato salad and baked beans for tomorrow. I washed clothes. Merrill cleaned floors. He cut brush in evening so we could see over to school. The cancer relay walk-a-thon started at Indian River School at 3 PM. It goes until 3 PM Sunday. We sat in screen house to listen to it. Mel Busher of WWNY-TV was MC. Jim and his Explorer Police scouts there.

Another great summer day. Hot. Elgin and Carmi Bowman here for dinner. Jim came over from school to eat with us. We had picnic dinner in our new screen house in back yard. We went over to Gerry and Amy’s in PM. Lyla and girls were having a yard sale. We stopped at Philadelphia Park and a rid around Garden of Eden Farm. They got home at 7 PM. Relay for Life Cancer Walk ends at 3 PM. They made over $85,000.

Another hot day. 84°. We went to church. Rev Elaine on vacation. Charlie Lovell in charge. Only 24 out. We brought offering home and Sue came for it here. Rev. Elaine’s daughter had baby boy born Thursday, June 26 at 1:30 AM. Named Tyler Scott, 6 pounds, 14 ounces. Kristen Tooley has baby girl born Friday. We went out to Seaway shopping in PM. I got batteries for radio. Merrill got confused driving. Our car muffler very noisy.

Even warmer today. Great nice breeze, 88°. I washed clothes. Merrill fixed garage door. It is in tonight’s Times that Clarence Lamon, 86 died yesterday in Genesis Nursing home. He has been there a month. His wife, Gladys is Merrill’s first cousin. They never called us. Vern called in evening. Bea went to hospital today. She was having trouble breathing.
