Diary Entry for 2/5/1975

Snowed some during night. Adult Health clinic at Philadelphia. Merrill and I went to it. Merrill had ears tested. Very good for his age. Got Mexican records at Library. First time I’ve been in library in years. It is so nice now.

Welcome” covered dish for Cameron’s at CEC. About 135 to dinner. 134 to church. I didn’t get to church. Vi and I worked at CEC. Good turnout from Mills church. Nice day but cold in evening. Oswego got 5 feet of snow.

A beautiful day but cold. Joseph wink here to renew fire insurance policy. He is 79 years old. Washed church towels. Helen Keichel called in evening. Asked if we’d take Mrs. Riley, Diane and Mrs. Hayden to wedding.

Trees covered with frost. We went to city. Merrill got voltage regulator for tractor at Talcott Falls, $15.25. I got new Harris Tweed coat, $40 and 3 blouses at Robert Halls. We stopped at Brenda and Bill’s.

Quite stormy most of day. Got Valentine letter from Vern’s. I worked at reports for church. Sent Minnie Pike, PNG Secret Pat, Valentine. Got one from my secret pal. We went to Philadelphia for groceries in morning.

Ronnie, 24, Griffin and Janet, 41, Cullen’s wedding. A beautiful day. Cold. Sent Mother T. card and letter. Called Patty in evening. Everything OK. Finished Church reports. Washed my hair. Elaine and Tammy Phillips left for Oklahoma at 7 AM.

Diary Entry for 2/15/1975

Jane Keichel and Robert Mowatt III wedding. A very nice wedding and reception. Mrs. Riley, Diane, and Mrs. Hayden went with us. Married at Evans Mills and reception at the Philadelphia Legion. Sent farm census.

Diary Entry for 2/18/1975

4-H free swim, 1-2 PM. All went but Hills and Jamie. Anne E drove also. We went to McDonalds afterwards. Merrill got motor for dump station washer at Bennett’s. Called Jim’s. We went to Sackets and got Jolie. Art and Doris Haggerty have baby boy, Douglas Lyle, 6 lb, 15 oz.

Diary Entry for 2/19/1975

Jim called at 7 AM to say Jill Erin Tryon arrived at 5:05 AM, 6 lb, 10 oz. Pat went to hospital at midnight. Called Mom. She heard it on radio. Also heard Art and Doris Haggerty had son. Merrill went to Philadelphia for groceries. Made cookies and cake.

4-H Dress Evaluation at Fire Hall. I took Laura, Marie, Lorraine and Vicky. Jolie, Alison, Nora and Linda went also. We went out to hospital to see Jill for first. She is so sweet. Looks like Jolie did only has dark hair. Saw Art and Doris and baby. Took Patty sweater from Sears.

A beautiful day. Sent Dan card. I have intestinal runs. Woke up at 4 AM with it. Dawn was over and spent day with Jolie. Says they have sold their farm. Merrill worked at helping Bob put on window at parsonage. MYF Pizza sale. I got one, $2.

Another grand day. I feel better today. Cleaned house. Washed Jolie’s clothes. Jim and Pat called. Patty and Jill went home today. Myrtle Schell died suddenly yesterday morning, 58 years. Mary collected for flowers.
