59° and 44°. Some showers in morning. Cold wind. A little sun in PM. I went to church with Jim. He had service. Sherri didn’t get up in time. A great sermon, children’s story, and choir anthem.

61° and 40°. No rain today. Cool wind. Sunny. Vi here in PM. I went to Centennial meeting in evening. Lots going on. New hall carpeting, windows washed, outside, lawns repaired, and parking lines painted. A HUD inspection is coming up soon.

Vern and June hot here about 9 AM. They took me to Dr. LaPoint’s for lab work. We went to Sonny’s for plants and then we put them on Merrill’s, mom and dad, and Eleanor’s graves. We ate lunch at Cracker Barrel. Dr. Sanni at 1:15. My eye pressure was 10 in each eye. I got fitted for new glasses at Watertown Optical there. $268. Frames were $99 and lens was $269.

73° and 43°. Mostly sunny. They finished washing windows. I helped Vi put her bedroom screen back in. I washed my windows inside and put plants back. Esther called. We are leaving for Philadelphia at 10:30 AM Sunday. I talked with Lyla. Her great niece, 28 years old, died of cancer.

60° and 54°. Cloudy with some rain. I went to exercise class. 13 of us there. Hope took a group picture of us for Dawn. Dawn brought us banana bread. Vi called in evening. They put new carpets in halls downstairs.

68° and 51°. Partly cloudy but no rain. They painted the white lines on the parking lot. Florence took me to eye center to get my new glasses. They called me they were in. Esther H called looking for Jim. I called Jim. I pain Hope $13.50 for the boat tour.

79 and 54°. A beautiful day. Vi and I went to Philadelphia church with June Lowe and Frieda Mason. They had a dessert party after church for Rev. Jane who was ordained last Sunday in Syracuse. All very nice. Great to get to church there again. We ate lunch at Schuler’s.

67° and 62°. Nice day. Windy all day. Elgin and Carmi called from Canada. They called again at suppertime. They are coming Friday the 20th. I talked with Lyla. I got notice that Vern has renewed my Upper Room magazine for another year. One of our water heaters have has sprung a leak. We have to go easy on the hot water.

69° and 46. Another nice day. Sunny. I went to exercise class. All there but Helen McLean. Only tow more classes. Florence gave me rhubarb. Lyla called. Elgin called here to say they would be here the 20th. I went up to Vi’s in evening.

72° and 52°. Raining off an on all day. They tested alarm system all day. Jim called. He is in Laconia NH for police get together. Will be home this week. Virginia Pastor stopped by.

74° and 51°. Partly cloudy. Nice day. I went to exercise class. Ten of us folded YMCA bulletins after class and into PM. I received Dr. Rev. Catherine Salisbury’s book, “Hidden Promises” in the mail.

70° and 59°. Raining again most of day. Jessie here to clean. We went to store. I read Dr. Catherine’s book off and on all day. It is so good. Vi stopped by in evening. She took “Hidden Promises” to read.

73° and 45°. A sunny summer day. I washed clothes. Shirley Perm at 10 AM. I got letter from Social Security saying I would get a check of $234 about June 24th. I took it to Hope. I signed up for it, October 2002. I went to hear Andy and wife Mildred at 7 PM in the Metcalf room.

72° and 57°. A nice summer day. I cleaned with cleaner. Dusted furniture. Water off at 6 AM. Back on before noon. The workers have worked on lawn most of the day filling ruts, rolling lawns, etc. they look nice. I had calls from Social Security office about Medicare Health payment. Also from survey on my heath insurance coverage.

A cloudy day. 66° and 58°. A few showers. Shawn Michael called. Jolie is coming for him this weekend. I talked with Jim. Office of Aging called. Also dentist Schipic’s wife. She called Kinney’s for antibiotic prescription for me. Linda Beyette here. Vi stopped by.

66° and 57°. Rained some. Also some sun. Jolie, Shawn Michael, and Madison came in AM. Patty and Jill here in PM. They brought me bouquet of flowers. Pretty. We went to mal in PM. Met Jim, Joanne, and Lauren there. Jill and Patty there also. Jolie, kids, and I ate supper at the Club House.

74° and 53°. Partly cloudy day. Warm. I went to church with Jim. I stopped at drug store on way home. Dr. Riemer preached. She’s very good. I went to church services here in PM. I took Rev. Catherine’s book down to the Nash’s to read.

77° and 54°. A beautiful summer day. Dorothy D stopped by. Also Virginia P. I washed my denim outfit by hand. HUD inspection today. Shawn L called asking for Jolie’s cell phone number.

80° and 59°. A great day. Jolie and Madison here for supper. Vi here in evening. I sent June card, letter and check. Jolie gave me pictures of Shawn Michael and Madison taken last time she was here.

82° and 64°. Our warmest day yet. Shawn Michael here in morning to say good bye. Joel called from Syracuse about noon. Jolie called at 10 PM. They were half hour from home. Traffic terrible all the way with road repair slowing them. Jim was an hour behind them. They stopped for the night early. Jim’s new truck using lots of gas. I washed clothes in PM. Vi and I went for walk and set outside in evening.

87° and 75°. Still very warm. I’ve had both fans on all day. Kinney’s man brought $159 worth of my drugs, Epic paid much more. June’s birthday, 65 years. I washed my rose outfit. Linda B called. I called Bertha and Hazel. Vi here in evening. My night blooming cirrus plant has a blossom started on it. Carol Gorman called about VIP.

A great day. I got a nice letter from June. Mr. Peabody, their 16 year old white cat had to be put to sleep. They are working on Dan’s house. I got VIP raffle stuff ready for Tuesday.

84° and 66°. A nice day until it rained in PM. I didn’t go to church. A bus load of folks from here and some of the other senior places went by Freeman Bus to Bonnie Castle for dinner and a boat trip around the islands. All very nice except the rain shower on the river as we were returning. A very nice time and dinner. Bus $3.50 and dinner $10. And boat tour free. Robert Congdon called in late PM. They are coming tomorrow. Vi didn’t get her Times today. I’m sharing mine with her.

70° and 60°. A great day. Nice breeze. I took Vi my Time paper. Robert and Cheryl got here about 1 PM. We went to Denny’s for lunch. We went to Walmart’s. I got white small microwave oven. They stayed for supper. Left about 9 PM. Linda Beyette called. Bad thunder and lightning storm during night about 1:30.
