Vern opened checking account at Philadelphia bank. Started out home but was so snowy we turned around other side of city. Jim had picture taken. Vern left watch at Rudolph’s.

Still cold. Men dressed 6 hens for freezer. Didn’t go to church.

Vern went back to school. Missed Leo at city so went back on Gould bus at 5:15. Spent all day in city. cold. Arlene didn’t ride. Jim has new teacher, Mr.Bourcey.

Got letter from Vernon. Sent marks. Got 3 A’s, 2 B’s, & 1 C. Very cold. Didn’t go to grange. Baked cakes.

32° below zero when I went to work at 6:30. Vi called to say Home Bureau has been postponed.

18° below zero when I left for work. Went to A&P at noon for groceries. Julie paid me.

Went over to see Terry. Ironed & baked cookies. Lots warmer today.

Terrible icy when I went to work. Basil Hanson had bad accident. Is in hospital. Called Aunt K. Merrill went to shop.
