We went to meeting at Nevilles to organize 4-H. Merrill was elected leader.

Washed & ironed. Baked cookies. Merrill went to Lodge. Uncle Ray brought over crib for Roberta to sleep in.

I took 3rd lesson on tailoring techniques. Eleanor & Roberta came tonight. No Grange as kids went to church.

Haven’t got much done except visit. Vernon went to game. Eleanor, Roberta, & I went to Home Bureau meeting at Dot S.

My birthday. Eleanor, Roberta, Merrill, & I went to Gouverneur shopping. Eleanor gave me stockings. Merrill got me steam iron.

Eleanor & Roberta went home today. Jim & I went out home & stayed all night.

Merrill & Vernon came out to Dad’s for dinner. Uncle Earle’s, Grandpa, & Mary were there in PM.

Boys got out of school at noon. I went to Lodge. Merrill played darts. Vicky & boys went to show. Doris & Freddie have baby boy born at 3:15 AM. Sent order to Spiegels.

Thanksgiving. We went out home for dinner. No snow on ground but it rained & we had a few snow flurries. Uncle Ray came after Vickie.

Ground covered with snow. We all went to city. Vernon got gifts for Sunday School. Got candy bars. I froze beets & carrots.

Baked & cleaned. Worked on Lodge questionnaire in evening.

Boys went to Sunday School & church. I went to church. Snowy & cold.

Washed & ironed. 4° below zero last night. Merrill went to Lodge.

W.S.C.S. Xmas party at chruch. I went. We all went to the basketball game. Philadelphia won both games from Theresa.

Took Jim to the dentist. He had 2 teeth pulled. Merrill & I went to Grange.

I went over to see Doris Aynes boy. Nice day. I taught religious education at school to 2nd & 3rd grade. Wrapped Christmas presents & made wreath in evening.

Drill practice at 7:00 PM. I went. Merrill & boys went to game. General Eisenhower, President Elect, is flying home from secret trip to Korea.

We all went to Gouverneur in PM. Martha & Vi went with us. Boys did Christmas shopping. Nice day. Had pop corn & apples in evening.

Nice warm day. We all went to church. Boys went to Sunday School. Put up decorations. Vern made Christmas manger.

Merrill & I went out to Adams. Shipped eggs for Vernon. Mom came home with us. Cut out 2 dresses for Brenda & Roberta.

I went to Lodge. Had Xmas party. Mom & I sewed all day on dresses for girls. Raining.

Mom & I sewed all day. Our anniversary but no celebration. Made dress for Donna, Brenda, & Roberta. Rained all night. Everything flooded.

We took Mom home today. Got Christmas tree out home. Boys went to game.

Cold, stormy day. Boys went to Sunday School. Jim & I don’t feel too good. I have catch in my back & sore throat.

Vi Mower’s birthday. Jim didn’t go to school today. Throat is still sore. Addressed Christmas cards. Merrill went to Lodge. Snowy.

Merrill & I went to Gouverneur. Vi & Aunt Maude went with us. Went to hospital to see Zelda McKeever. I went to drill practice. Washed.

Did ironing. Judy Buttry was here for supper. We all went to Grange. Xmas party.

Made skirt for Donna & dress for Roberta’s doll. Merrill went to dart game at Mills. I went to Home Bureau Christmas party at Beebe’s. Nice time.

Tired today. Made pop corn balls for church shut ins. Vernon went to basketball game at Redwood.

Nice day but colder. Made Christmas fudge. Got gift of Reader’s Digest from Uncle Berl.

George Hardy was here to insure machinery. I went to Christmas exhibit at school. Washed & ironed. Merrill went to Lodge.

Boys got out at noon for vacation. Very icy. Rainy & freezing. church Christmas party. We all went.

Went to city in AM. Merrill took eggs to Manor. Had our tree in evening. Jim got foot ball, basketball. Vern got electric razor. Merrill a parker pen. Me a blue slip & perfume.

Went out home for Christmas. Ken’s, Don’s, & Uncle Berle were there. Uncle Berle’s last Christmas before going to California.

Snowing. Baked cakes, cookies, & pies. No mail today.

About 3-4 inches of snow last night. Plow was in. Roy Kiechle gave us ice cream cake. I have horrid cold.

Got ready for party tonight. Made fudge & ice cream. Nice day but cold.

Mrs. E. Hagan’s 70th birthday. Nice day. Real warm. Baked. Jim went skating with John & Charles. Stayed for supper with them. I went to Vera Riordon’s with Helen & Vi.
