Got chickens ready to freeze. Lula Rappole’s 41st anniversary. I made them cake. Ice cream social. I worked. Merrill finished combining at Casses. Made $30.00 on ice cream social. Jim Madison’s birthday.

Real warm. Put 12 chickens in freezer. Got letter from Carl today. First since March. He’s in Camp Gordon, Georgia.

Raining. Washed out boys clothes. Vernon got hair cut. Tired today for some reason.

Took boys out to Ken & Eleanor’s to stay. Stopped up home. Dad & Mom ready to give up farm.
