Vern feeling better. I took Vi to city to get new glasses. Got Jim baseball mitt & bat.

Washed & ironed. Awful tired today. Took calf to sale.

I helped Merrill sow some oats. Started helping Merrill with chores.

Merrill & I sowed grain about all day. Quite cold. I went over to Carrie Dunn’s to plan Mother & Daughter banquet.

Nice but kind of cold. Dyed slip covers & bed spread. School band went to Potsdam today but Vern wasn’t able to go.

Baked cakes, & pie. Quite cold today. Aunt Maude was over in morning. I have terrible cold. Feel punk.

Nice today. Jane’s 3rd birthday. I don’t feel very good. Horrid cold.

Washed & ironed. Sowed oats in PM.

Sowed grain. Very windy in PM. 30 acres of grain in.

Vi & I went to city for supplies for supper. Got Vernon 50 chicks he won in 4-H. Helped get turkeys ready. Had juvenile Grange in evening.

Mother & Daughter banquet. 106 tickets sold. I had charge of supper. Made $55.21 on banquet. Jim came down with mumps.

I was in bed all day with upset stomach. Vern went to Spring concert. Played in band. Beulah & Glenn’s house burned.

Myrtle & I took dishes back to lodge. Jim got up & dressed today. His face is quite swollen. Merrill got grease pump. $17.25.

Mother’s Day. Raining. First time in 18 days. Merrill & I went to church. We also went for ride in PM. Mr. Heatherington’s last sermon here.

Raining hard all day. Washed. Dried clothes over register. Got package from Spiegels. Jim’s gray pants, wine corduroy jacket $7.75 & white shirt $1.69. Merrill went to Lodge.

Still raining hard.

Went to Lodge in evening. Had plastic & lingerie party. Mrs. Brown [was there]. Painted living room floors.

Got letter from Mother Tryon saying Beulah’s house had burned again. Lost everything.

Settled living rooms. Did living room rugs. We went to city. Got new lamp shade, table clothes, etc.

Baked cakes, Worked on Rebekah cafeteria supper. Made about $45.00.

We all went out home for dinner. Uncle Earle’s & Marg were there too. Uncle Ed & Aunt Edna, Aunt Cora & her new husband Charlie Cross were there in evening.

Washed & ironed. Beulah, Geneva, & I went to Fresh Air Fund meeting at city. Miss Bigelow spoke. Merrill went to Lodge. Jim went back to school.

Home Bureau here. 12 present. Had covered dish supper. Miss Conover gave lesson on window treatments. Raining. Esther H. & Colleen were here.

Raining. I went over to Vi’s to work on Home Bureau exhibit for tomorrow. Got card from Carrie [..amp] at Rebekah Assembly.

Achievement day at Masonic Temple. Vi & I went. Between 500 & 700 people present. Merrill went to city too. I went to Grange in evening. Carl Thibault had operation.

Fireman’s parade. We all went to parade. Blood bank here. I helped at blood bank in evening. Was over to Helen’s in AM. Jane got burned by cup of hot coffee.

Merrill helped put siding on the Grange Hall again today. We all went to reception for old & new minister. Covered dish supper.

We all went to church. Went up to Don’s in PM. Practiced Juvenile Grange in evening. Rainy.

Raining. Got stuff together for Juvenile County meeting at Pamelia. We all went. 28 from Philadelphia. Very nice.

Washed. Took home girls Home Bureau dresses.

Vern had headache & didn’t go to school. Went out to city. Vern got free seeds. Got plastic curtains. Put them up. I went to Lodge in evening.

I helped paint at Lodge. Merrill helped in PM. Took out posts.

Pauldine & Garmon, Abby, & kids, were here. Had picnic dinner in back yard. We went to Northside Drive In theater in theevening.

I have sore throat. Merrill started painting milk house. Vern pained cupboards in kitchen. Vern played in band at Dexter.

We went out home for dinner. Don’s were there too. Merrill brought home Don’s hay hoist. Lois & Carroll have baby girl. Keitha Elaine.

Washed & ironed. Merrill went to Lodge. Froze rhubarb. Went to city in PM.

Appointment with dentist for myself. Got 3 teeth filled, cleaned. Collected for library. W.S.C.S. at Maude Kavanaugh’s. Went to W.S.C.S. Vi & I are head of a circle.

I have sore eye. I didn’t go to Grange because of sore eye. Mrs. Hagan’s mother, Jane White, at Massena died last night. We finished spring work after a months rest. Sowed barley.

W.S.C.S. had Star supper. I washed dishes. Made about $100.00. I took Helen Mass card from the neighbors. Merrill sprained wrist.

Helped paint at Lodge Hall. Merrill & I went to Gouverneur. We all worked on yards in evening. Planted lilacs.

Merrill has sore wrist. Bob F. was over about parsonage committee. Mowed yards.

Men made power lawn mower. We all went to church. Mr. Pilbeam gave wonderful sermon. We went out home by way of Rodman. Had picnic dinner. Mom isn’t feeling too good.

Merrill, Vi, & I went to city in AM. Washed & ironed in PM & evening. Merrill went to Lodge.

Helped paint all day at Lodge Hall.

Sold Vernon’s hens @.30. Merrill & I went to city. Went to Lodge.

Theme program at Grange. Merrill & I went. Good turn out. About 50 there. Aunt Keitha & kids were there. Vernon brought home fluorescent kitchen light he made at school.

Friday the 13th. Planted more cucumbers. Others didn’t come.

Washed, baked. Got things ready for trip to mountains. Ruth Hoover was here. We left about 6:00 for Les Hall’s camp. Stayed at Cranberry Lake at night.

We went to Whiteface Mountain & Santa Land. Very nice. Got home 8:30. Kessel, Melba, & Mother Tryon went home.

Washed & ironed. Got birthday card ready to send Carl Hall. Sent Mom card. Merrill went to city. Bought electric motor. $155.00.
