Merrill didn’t get home until 2:00 AM last night from Lodge at Mills. Sleepy today.

We went to city to see Uncle Berle. He had kidney stone removed yesterday.

Went out home for dinner. Men helped Dad on barn. Snow damaged it. Stopped to see Uncle Berle at hospital. Addressed cards.

Washed clothes. Merrill went to Lodge. Worked on my dress.

Got card saying Alice has to go to hospital again. December 16. We took calf to Gouverneur. Did some shopping. Home Bureau party postponed. Mary S. sent me pillow case lace.

Xmas exercise at school. Aunt Maude & I went. Grange Xmas party. We all went. Also went to Xmas sing at church.

Boys had tree at school this morning. School let out for vacation. Xmas tree & exercises at church. We all went. Jim had part. Merrill & I went to city after plants for Lodge, & others.

Stormy, snowing, & windy. Tired today. Did ironing. Esther Hardy had operation. Uncle Berle got out of hospital. Went to Lasher’s.

Wrapped Xmas gifts. Baked pies & cookies.

Baked cake.Had our tree in evening. We all got nice gifts. We all went to church. Went over to Uncle Ray’s in PM. Called Uncle Berle at Lasher’s.

We went out home for Xmas. 26 there. Stopped at Adams to see Merrill’s folks. Had a nice Xmas. Orv’s, Lloyd’s, Marg’s, Beulah’s, Don’s, Dad’s, & us. [were there]

Everybody tired today. Too much Xmas. Awful cold.

Rebekah’s. Very cold. 28° below last night. Esther Hardy got home from hospital. Was blowing so, I didn’t go to Lodge.

Home Bureau Xmas party at Marie Sharkey’s. I didn’t go. Merrill went to LeFargeville to play dart baseball. Baked bread, & cake.

Not quite so cold today. Seems good. Merrill has lame back. I feel better tonight.

Baked pies. Cleaned kitchen floor & waxed it. Did some washing.

Boys & I went to church & Sunday School. Mower’s came over in evening to see the new year in 1951.

Another New Year. No company today. Everybody sleepy. Grand day but rather cold. Merrill went to Lodge.

Boys go back to school after Xmas vacation. W.S.C.S. at Mrs. Rosbrook’s. Lodge practice. I was sick all night & today. Went to Lodge practice.

Grange. I went. Merrill & I went to city to see Alice. She is going home today. Raining.

Home Bureau. I gave first dress lessons at Vi’s. Snow all gone. Rebekah drill practice but I couldn’t go because of Home Bureau.

Sent Ken birthday card. Nice day. Washed clothes. I feel better today. Did most of ironing.

Finished ironing. Merrill got hair cut. Snowed some. Colder.

We went out home for dinner. Merrill helped Dad on barn that snow damaged. Snowed in PM & evening. Dad gave us some pork. Watertown High School was dedicated today.

IOOF installation. Merrill was installed as Past Nobel Grand. They had a closed meeting for first time in a long time. Washed & ironed. Shampooed my hair.

Bible Study at Mrs. Heatherington’s. I went. Merrill helped move stove at Grange Hall. Windy.

House of the Good Samaritan dedication. Merrill & I went to city. I went to Rebekah’s. Beulah Hall is sick.

Home Bureau at Rosie Hulburt’s. Nine there. Gave second sewing lesson. Jim came home sick from school. Temperature 102°. Buddy Bacon hit him in the head.

Jim didn’t go to school He’s better today. Just a little temperature. Merrill went to dart practice.

Wayne Sharkey was over in PM & evening & made Grange chart. Baked cakes & pies.

Boys & I went to church & Sunday School. Nice day.

Washed clothes. Merrill went to Lodge. Philly won high in dart games.

Made out & sent income tax return. I didn’t go to Bible Study. Merrill took Past Grand Degree at Redwood. Listened to March of Dimes marathon.

Vernon & I went to Grange. Juvenile Degree was held. Baked cake & cookies.

Got letter from Juanita. Madeline Honeywell had operation today. Nellie Robertson died very suddenly this PM. Beulah Hall was over in PM. George Henderson killed beef for us. Rebekah practice.

I have awful headache today. Thunder storms early this morning. Mrs. Robertson funeral Sunday. Is a Rebekah funeral.

We all went out home for dinner. Called Mom in morning. Merrill & Vernon helped Dad butcher pig. We bought half of it.

Boys & I went to church & Sunday School. I went to Nellie Robertson’s funeral. Was a Rebekah service. Men cut up some of the meat.

Washed clothes. Did ironing. Worked at meat. Merrill went to Lodge.

Aunt Maude, Aunt Myrtle Duff, & I went to all day Grange meeting at city. Saw Alice & Ethel there. Uncle Earle’s have television set. I went to Rebekah practice in evening.

Rebekah installation. Merrill & I went to city. Merrill gave blood at Red Cross. He fainted away after giving blood. Took in 4 new members at Rebekah’s. I got home at 1:00 AM. Vernon didn’t go to school. Had headache.

Finished last of meat. Had about 50 pounds of hamburg, 10 pounds sausage. Kind of tired today.

Boys got out of school at 9:30 today. Home Bureau at Helen’s. Kind of cold.

Feel lazy today. Stormy. Cleaned. Got letter from Pauline. She is married to L. Carner Jr. now. Married last summer.

We didn’t go to church or Sunday School. Stayed home all day.

Washed clothes. Did ironing. Finished black skirt. Merrill went to Lodge.

Baked bread. Worked on Beulah’s dress some.

Helped clean at Grange Hall. Got letter from Carl. He is in the hospital again. Has hepatitis. Got letter from mom.

Mary Stinson died today. Was 85 years old. Postponed Home Bureau because of storm.

Vernon brought home his ship clock he made at school. It’s beautiful. Had Home Bureau at Dorothy Sivertson’s. 4th dress lesson. Snowed hard coming home.
