Don, Dorland, Juanita & Donna came in PM. Boys stayed for supper. Uncle Ray, Aunt Maude, Cheryl & Vickie were here in evening.

Juanita did big washing & ironing. Merrill & Jim went to Adams. Elmer got home last Sunday. Merrill got me 3 more sheets & 1 pair pillow slips. Mrs.Bechard was here. Merrill went to Grange at Antwerp.

Cloudy & rainy. Shampooed my hair. Juanita did up my hair.

Lodge tonight but I couldn’t go. I wrote poem for Past Grands. Talked with several today. Mom called. Eleanor came home from hospital today.

Juanita cleaned bathroom. She painted floor. W.S.C.S. had cafeteria supper. Nice day but cold.

Cold & rainy. Juanita painted upstairs bedroom floor. Merrill fixed upstairs light.

Swell day. Real warm. Vernon went to all day 4-H rally at city. Aunt Maude was over. Brought me pillow cases from Rebekah’s.

Boys went to Sunday School. Vern to church. Lila & kids were here for dinner & Uncle Len, Betty, & Abby for supper. I drove over town in evening. First since I got out of hospital.

Rainy today. Juanita, kids, & I drove over to Antwerp. Merrill went to Lodge.

Juanita washed & did most of ironing. I went to W.S.C.S. at Mrs. Robertson’s. Margaret had charge of meeting. Swell day.

Helen went to hospital at noon. Nice day. Juanita & I went over to Antwerp & Philly. Merrill started fitting ground for first. Merrill & I went to Grange. Helen & Carl have baby girl, Jane Ann, 6 pounds 1 ounce.

Juanita, Merrill, kids, & I went over to Alice’s. Had bad thunder storm in PM.

Kessel came today. His father & another fellow brought him. Awfully warm. Merrill & I went to party at Freddie & Doris’ for Bill & Vi & Glen & Gloria. Sowed 10 pounds peas with drill.

Baked pies, cake, cookies. Grand day. Men built fence. Vernon helped Uncle Ray drill grain.

We all went out home for dinner. Don was here when we got home. Merrill was up most of night with cow.

Don left for out home today. Juanita did huge washing. I did other work. Helen & Jane Ann got home from hospital.

Got letter from Eleanor. Washed living room curtains. Men sowed oats for first this year. Got first milk check from Antwerp. $25.00 Went over to see Jane for first. Pearl was here.

I went to Lodge. Men sowed grain.

Cloudy but didn’t rain. Have 12 acres of grain in. Donna, Juanita & I went over town for groceries.

I was sick in bed all day. Sick to my stomach.

Ralph Hall died this evening about 9:30 PM. Merrill & I went to city. Rained all day. Men went to show in evening.

Vernon went to Sunday School & church. Pauline & Garmon & brothers & kids were here for dinner. Aunt Maude & I went over to Eleanor Hall’s in evening.

Juanita washed. Called several Rebekah’s about Ralph’s funeral. Merrill went to Lodge. Was made Vice Grand to take Ralph’s place.

Ralph Hall’s funeral. Church was full. Merrill was one of the bearers. I practiced for Rebekah’s in evening. Got letter from Mom.

Working on Donna’s dress. Men sowed barley. Grange, but we didn’t go. Juanita cleaned sun porch. Vern played in spring musical. Men moved out kitchen stove.

Kids & I took Juanita to Theresa dentist. She got four teeth filled. $11.00. Merrill & Kessel went to city. Ordered rubber tires for tractor. Rained hard during night.

Gave myself an R. Hudnut Permanent. Donna had one too. Washed & colored sun porch curtains. Juanita painted sun porch floor. Men took tractor apart. Merrill & I went to show. Quite cold all day.

Baked pies & cake. Juanita, Donna, & I went to city. Had final check up at Dr. Roberts. Got Vernon work shoes. $4.99 size 6 1/2. Merrill went to city this morning after part for tractor. Boys & Kessel went to show.

No church. Conference. Quite cold. No visitors today. Merrill slept all day. Talked with Elsie & Aunt Maude & Uncle Ray.

Raining. Sent $3.00 to Times. I went to Carthage with Rebekah’s to put on degree. Merrill went to Lodge. His first meeting as Vice Grand.

Washed & ironed. Planted garden. Men finished planting oats. 33 1/2 acres.

Rebekah’s entertain Odd Fellows. 30th anniversary of Philadelphia Rebekah Lodge 584. Merrill & I went.

Juanita & I cleaned & varnished my bedroom & living room rugs. Waxed kitchen floor. Elsie B. was here collecting for Library. 50¢.

Fireman’s Field Day. Vern plays in school band in parade.We all went to parade. Was very good. 2 miles long. I went to city with Aunt Maude.

Juanita, Donna, Vernon, & I went to city. Got Vern white pants. $2.69. Got Juanita shoes $1.25 size 11 1/2.

Merrill, boys & I went to church. We all went to Memorial parade & services. Vernon played in band. Uncle Berle came in evening. Stayed all night.

Uncle Berle went home this morning. We went out home for dinner. Nice day. We washed clothes. Dressed chickens.

Merrill & Kessel helped Uncle Ray on his barn. Juanita, kids, & I went up to Uncle Len’s for dinner.

Was over to Mrs. Hagan’s awhile. Did ironing.

Vern planted maple tree in back yard. Pulled up the elm he planted last night. Merrill helped at church. Finished siding. Juanita, kids & I went to city & Uncle Earle’s. School band played at Dexter. Won 1st prize. Merrill & I went to Grange. Merrill acted as Master.

Uncle Ray birthday party. Merrill & I went. Mother & Dad Tryon & Elmer came on bus. I made Claude a birthday cake. Elmer’s birthday (22 years)

Men dug up drain (kitchen). Put on screens.Vern played at Black River with band. Kessel & Elmer went to show. Juanita helped Mrs. Kiechle in PM.

Claude’s birthday. We all went to church. Mother & Dad Tryon, Merrill, Juanita, Elmer, & I went to show in evening. Snake Pit.

Washed clothes & ironed. Juanita helped Mrs. Kiechle in PM. Washing machine broke. Merrill went to Lodge. I went over to Margaret W. to make out slips for Father & Son banquet.

Cloudy. Radio broke today. Merrill started working on horse barn. Got paint for roofs. I went to W.S.C.S. at Beaches. Vern played with band at Dairyland Parade. Juanita worked at Kiechle’s.

Jim & I went up to Hall’s camp at Cranberry Lake. Had grand time.Went to Lodge in evening. Juanita helped at Mrs.Kiechle’s. Took Donna with her. Wrote Mom. Merrill started painting barn roofs.

Merrill took radio to city to have it fixed. Mother, Dad & Elmer Tryon went home. Went to city with Merrill.Went over town after ice cream. Juanita worked at Kiechle’s.

Merrill, kids & I went to city in PM. Radio wasn’t fixed yet. We all went to Drive In theater for first time. Roy Rogers. Juanita worked at Kiechle’s.

Juanita worked all day at Kiechle’s. Baked cakes & doughnuts. went over town in evening & got garden hose. $3.50.

Cloudy. Merrill & I went to city. Got new Dormeyer electric mixer. $29.95. Grandpa, Juanita, & I went for ride to Antwerp etc.
