Cleaned & baked. Roy & Marg came this PM. Uncle Ray & Cheryl & Vickie were here in evening. Milk tester left. Test 3.47 this time.

Twins birthday. 6 years. Cold. Roy & Marg left about 6:00 PM. Aunt Cora called.

Vernon didn’t have to go to school. Took Mother out bird from Mrs.Thibault. $10.00. Dad isn’t feeling very good. Merrill went to Lodge. Got potatoes from Uncle Lloyd. $1.50 bushel. Got new curtain stretchers.

Vernon went to scout meeting. No school. Washed clothes & curtains. Got new slip, bra, & panties. Helped clean Lodge rooms. Called Aunt Edna & Aunt Cora.

Installation at Lodge. I was installed as recording Secretary. 82 present. Aunt Maude is Noble Grand. Farm Bureau Rally in Grange Hall.

Cloudy & cold. Talked with Helen. Vernon had T.B. test at school.

Nice day. Was over town twice. Went to stork shower for Alice at Uncle Earle’s in evening. About 75 there.

My watch came back from Sears. Bad 3 alarm fire at Mosher & Parkers Mill. We went to it. George Henderson was burned. We went to show in evening. Raining in evening.

Merrill started drawing milk over to village for first. Raining. Called Mom. Dad is feeling better. Henry Bates died yesterday.

Merrill went to Lodge in evening. Installation at Antwerp Rebekah’s tonight. First snow flurries today. Washed. Ironed. Baked pies, cake, cookies. Haven’t felt good today.

Aunt Maude’s birthday. Drill practice at Lodge. Boy Scout meeting. Called Aunt Cora. I went to drill practice. Vern went to Boy Scouts.

Sent card to Dad & Mom. Called Beulah. Kennie isn’t very good. He went to hospital last Friday. Talked with Helen, Beulah, & Lois. Baked bread & doughnuts. Waxed dining room floors.

Got letter from Angie & Mother Tryon. Mom & Dad’s 34th anniversary. Chamber of Commerce supper at church. Man was here from [?] about Goodwin Club.

Leah, Myrtle & I went to W.S.C.S Conference meeting all day at city. Merrill finished barn door. Wrote Mother.

Waxed kitchen floor. Baked cake for party. Went to party at Leah’s & Claude’s for Blanche.

Very quiet day. I went to church. Merrill slept all day. Wrote Marg.

Washed. Merrill finished plowing. Jim & I went over to Myrtle’s & planned election day dinner. Merrill went to Lodge.

Kennie Hall came home from hospital. Merrill helped Uncle Ray on Grange Hall. Jim & I went over to see about locker. Was over to Lila’s. Vernon went to Boy Scouts.

Went to Lodge in evening. First meeting as secretary. Not feeling too good.

Merrill helped Uncle Ray put roof on house. Beulah Hall’s little granddaughter Cindy died today during test.

Merrill helped Uncle Ray. Went over town & gave out slips for supper.

Baked. Went to city in afternoon. Got new cake carrier. Merrill got shirts.

Boys & I went to church Rally Day. Went out to Uncle Earle’s in PM & for supper. Dad’s & Marg’s were there.

Claude & Leah got new truck. Kiechle’s attended Cindy Straub’s burial at Antwerp. I went. 17 there. Went to doctor in PM. Washed.

Election. W.S.C.S had supper at Grange Hall. Not a very large crowd. President Truman won election.

Grange. Election of officers. Merrill was elected Overseer. Uncle Ray Master. Vernon didn’t go to school.

Merrill & Uncle Ray went to city. Aunt Maude & I went over to Doris’. Vernon didn’t go to school.

Vernon went to school today. Got 2 dresses from Leah. $6.00 for 2. Farm Bureau rally at Calcium. Postponed Lodge practice.

Merrill & I went to city in PM. Raining hard.

Went out home for dinner. Stopped at Adams on way home. Awful windy.

Washed & ironed. Washed windows & put on storm windows. Grand day. Merrill went to Lodge in evening.

W.S.C.S meeting at Mabel Chapin’s. Vernon went to Boy Scouts. Wrote Uncle Berle.

Vern & Ben went to Theresa basketball. We went to Antwerp & got new living room rug. Armstrong Quaker $16.80. Went to Lodge in evening.

Went to first Home Bureau meeting at Marguerite Beach’s. No school.

No school. Cleaned & waxed floor.

Baked doughnuts, pies, & chocolate cake. Raining & cold. Mom called. Dad killed pig.

Uncle Berle came for dinner & supper. Snowed a little in evening. Princess Elizabeth baby boy born today.

Merrill went to Lodge. We went out home & got pork. Aunt Maude rode to city with us. Raining. Talked with Doris, Helen & Beulah.

Lodge practice. I went. Eleanor & Ken’s 2nd anniversary. Sent them card. Cut up pig & got it ready for locker. Merrill took over 10 pieces.

Linda Lou LeClair’s first birthday. Grange installation of officers. Merrill was overseer.

Grange had Chamber of Commerce supper. I went. Home Bureau at C. Thompson’s. Merrill went to Lodge at Evans Mills with Uncle Ray. Grand day.Merrill painted new barn & cellar door.

Uncle Earle’s birthday (54 years) Cloudy. Town fixed sluice on our road. Canned cranberries & beets. Took sausage to locker.

Rainy all day to evening. Washed living room curtains. Boys made me birthday cake & decorated it.

My birthday. (31 years) Rainy. Very quiet day. Talked with Helen. Power was off in evening. Had birthday cake boys made me.

Wrote Gloria & Mom. Washed & ironed. Merrill went to Lodge. Talked with Aunt Maude. Carl called. Is home on furlough.

Made fruit cake. Went to Brush Party at Leah’s in PM. Card party at Grange. We didn’t go.

Got things ready for Thanksgiving dinner. Called Mom. They are coming tomorrow.
