Washed & ironed. Men moved kitchen stove & connected water heater. Fixed shower down cellar. Talked with Helen, Aunt Maude, She was over in evening. Merrill went to Lodge.

Awfully hot. Started haying. Aunt Maude & I went over to church to meeting in evening about painting job.

Uncle Ray was over. Went to city. Bought new hat. Painted stove. Got Jim new shoes. Got boys swim trunks.

Merrill went up after stove. Aunt Maude & I went to city in PM. She drove (first time) Stopped at Lila’s. Helen Carl & boys were here.

Electric light men were here. Talked with Helen & Aunt Maude. Helen & Carl & boys were over in evening. Men wired up electric stove.

Wrote Mom. Did a lot of baking with new stove. Uncle Ray was over & mowed hay. Kessel went home for 4th.

Howed corn & potato areas. Grand weather. Worked in garden. Had picnic supper. Merrill & Vern drawed load of hay.

Vern put up bird house. Washed. Uncle Ray was over & helped hay it. Aunt Maude & Cheryl & Uncle Ray were here in evening. shampooed my hair. Thunder storms and rain.

Merrill & boys went to Adams after Kessel but didn’t find him. Terrible thunder storms. Power was off. Went to W.S.C.S. meeting at Marguerite Beach’s

Painted bathroom & my bedroom. Kessel got back. Went to Grange in evening.

Got 100 pounds of sugar. $8.40. Uncle Ray was here & helped hay it. Jim & I went with Aunt Maude when she took Cheryl home. Was over town in morning.

Washed & baked. Uncle Ray was here working. Helen & Miriam arrive [Fresh Air Kids] at 6:14. Mrs. Petrie, Jim, & I met them at train. Milk tester came.

Milk tester left. Got things ready for picnic.

Leah & Claude went to picnic with us. Took kids to church. Went to Lodge picnic at Crystal Lake after church. 50 were there. Took kids to show in evening.

Washed clothes. Washing machine changed [from gas to electric]. Talked with Helen, Mrs. Hagan & Aunt Maude.

Did ironing. Baked cake, doughnuts & cookies. Got letter from Mom. Alice Carr is in hospital. Ethel Wagner is at Uncle Earle’s.

44 loads of hay in. Finished filling mow over cow barn. Talked with Helen, Beulah, Elsie, Carrie & Aunt Maude.

Commerce Block Dance. The W.S.C.S. sold refreshments. I got home at 1:30.

Drawed hay all day. Washed clothes.

My stove isn’t working right. I called Kamargo’s. [furniture store in Watertown] Went to show in evening. Got letter from Ramos.

Went out home for diner. Ken & Eleanor were there. I’m not feeling so good. Emma called.

Mrs. Ramos sent me bed doll & laundry doll. Washed clothes. Luke Sharon came over & tried to fix stove. Girls & I went down to Leah’s

Quite warm. Kids went to show in evening. A dog picture.

Washed clothes. Two men were here to look at stove. Took girls over to Block Dance in evening. They sang two Spanish songs. Beulah called to say girls go back tomorrow.

Girls left for Brooklyn today. Rained all night last night. Mrs. Hagan & Helen called.

Vern & I cleaned church. Aunt Maude & I went huckleberrying. Drove to Antwerp. Sent Don card.

We all went to church today. Nice day. cool.

Sent Florence Yerdon birthday card. Merrill got me new rinse tubs. Don’s birthday. Washed, canned 14 quarts cherries. ($6.30 for 30 pounds frozen) Went to Antwerp with Aunt Maude to Grange meeting.

Awfully hot. Rained in evening. Aunt Maude was over. Got letter from Mom.

Went to Antwerp with Aunt Maude for berries. Merrill & I went to city. Are coming tomorrow to fix stove. Wrote Mom & Florence H. Got Vernon new shoes size 6. Got boys slacks. Saw Edith & Evelyn at city.

Fellows were here to fix stove. Are bringing me another stove. Awfully hot.

Finished haying. 115 loads altogether. Brought stove but I don’t like it. Took other one. Hot. Rained in evening.

Cooler & windy. Wrote letter to Kamargos. Made Aunt Myrtle cake.

Went out home for family gathering for Aunt Myrtle. Florence & kids went with us. Kessel didn’t come home with us.

Washed. Had ice cream social at church. Good turn out for Monday night. Merrill starts reaping grain.

W.S.C.S. meeting at Nita Junne’s. About 20 there. Kamargo’s called & said they would throw off $25.00 on stove.

Wrote Alice. Jim & I went over town in PM. Talked with Mrs. Heatherington. Uncle Ray was over in evening.

Got letter from Merriam R. Talked with Lula & Elsie. Merrill helped thresh at Bacon’s & Rappole. Vern & I set up grain all day. Kessel came back in evening. Men went to Farm Bureau.

Cleaned. Talked with Helen & Mabel Chapin. Wrote Marg.

Beulah Macklin’s birthday. Baxter is in Syracuse. Beulah at home. Marg called to say Dad’s & them were coming out tomorrow. Went to show in evening.

Marg, Roy & Ethel were here for dinner & supper. Rained hard in afternoon.

We went to Gouverneur Fair. First time. Talked with Aunt Maude & Helen. Got letter from Alice.

I went to city with Aunt Maude & Carrie Tryon. Men threshed at Webb’s. Got new girdle.

Ethel Wagner’s birthday. Men threshed at Bechard’s. Rained in afternoon. Washed clothes. Got 2 new wash basins.

Raining. Jim & I went over town. Got letter from Marg. Merrill, Jim & I went over to Uncle Rays in evening. Mom went to Canada with Orv’s.

Friday the 13th. Uncle Rays & us went to Uncle Len’s in afternoon. We went to show in evening. Aunt Maude gave blood for Mrs. Bennett.

Raining. Talked with Aunt Maude & Mrs. Bechard.

We all went to church. Nice day. Warmer. Went to show in evening.

Ice cream social. Warm evening. Good turn out. We all went to social. Men threshed at Bechard’s. Mr. Heatherington’s birthday. Also Roy Kiechle & Aunt Vels.
