Merrill’s birthday. Had strawberry shortcake and chicken. Gave Merrill 2 pair wool socks, white shirt and utility case. He got several cards. Kids called in evening. Merrill laid plywood floor for Schells. I went to Rebekahs.

Merrill got hair cut. Sears repairman here to fix washer. Wouldn’t spin. $57.00. Washed and cleaned oven, dusted. Got letter from Jim and Eleanor.

I was sick all day with heartache. Roy and Marg were here for supper. Called Kens. Wrote Jim.

Eleanor’s birthday. We went to Vernon’s for dinner. don and Bea Gehm were there also. Danny has rash on face. 

Philadelphia phone goes direct dialing at 2 AM. Juanita’s birthday. Easter Sunday. I went to Easter cantata at 7 AM. We went to church. Organ quit. We went to Kens for dinner. Went up after mom on way.

Past Grands at Esther Taylors. 14 present. I went to city for groceries. Rainy. Washed. Wrote Jim.

Merrill went with Howard to get snow blade at Brazie Corners. Eleanor came in evening with beef. 188 pounds @ .58 cut up. We wrapped it. Merrill washed car.

Eleanor left about 11:30 am. Merrill went with Howard to help him get his bulk tank at Adams. Beautiful spring day.

David’s 13th birthday. We went out home for dinner. We stopped at Kenny and Brenda’s to see baby. Mom had birthday dinner. We showed slides. Warm but rainy. Uncle Len and Betty here while we were gone.

Washed. Made pies and cookies. Wrote Jim. Sent for mailbox name plate. colder. Snowy. Initiation at Antwerp but I didn’t go.

WSCS at Margaret Mattingly’s. I went. Gene Mosher showed film of Europe and Belgium.

I have headache. Cut out 3 piece dress. Jim Mattison was down in evening.

I was in bed all day with headache. Lynn Hall sick with flu. Merrill helped do chores in evening. Got 1967 Readers Digest Almanac. Home demonstration at Luckys. Rainy and freezing.

Not too peppy yet today. Head still hurts. Merrill went to Philadelphia and Mills. Changed rain coat that had broken fastener.

We went to city for groceries. Went to Westons and Sears. Nice day. Made reversible skirt in evening.

Nice day. 68°. We went to church. Trustee meeting afterwards about chimney. We went over to Clara Wallace’s in PM.

Raining in morning. Merrill put in cement by back barn door. Gave myself a Tip toni. Washed.

Wrote Jim. Wrote Martha and sent Jeff card. Appointment with Dr. Roberts. I may have to have operation later on. Got new girdle and handbag.

Dad died 7 years ago today. Weather still cold. Merrill has headache. Sewed on 3 piece outfit. I went to lodge in evening. District Deputy President made official visit.

Sears repairman didn’t come. Doris H called in evening to say Abby and Bob’s 5 month old baby, Rodney died of bronchitis this morning. Merrill built fence for first this year.

District meeting of Rebekahs at Theresa. I was nominated district Deputy President for District No. 3. Bethany Nuroth DDP now. 64 present. 6:30 Ham dinner. Went up to Bob & Abby’s in pm. Called Mom and wrote Uncle Berl.

Rodney Lee Moyers funeral. Birds are at the birdhouse for first. Very warm. Cleaned on lawns. Vi and I went to city in pm. Rained in evening.

We went to church. Rev. Ott preached. Hutchinson’s are in Maryland on vacation. Went for ride. Saw Toby at Theresa. Asked Leah, Lois H Esther, Martha and Diane to be on installing staff.

Rainy. Papered bathroom. Got card from Uncle Berl at convention at San Jose California. Got first letter from Dot since she returned to Joe. Asked Minnie Dyer to be on staff. Spring vacation week at school

Wrote Jim. Got name plate for mailbox from Spears Mfg. Co. $4.45. Worked on bathroom. Run out of paper. 

Kenny Rudes called in am to say he got notice this morning he had passed State Police Test. Rainy. Got letter from Jim. Got wedding invitation from Vicky and Marshal Thayer. Finished cleaning bathroom. Got wall paper from Mary C.

Home demonstration at Martha Browns. Shower for Lucky. 10 women and 10 kids present. (no school) Lucky got nice gifts. Sears repairman cleaned out dishwasher strainers. Dyed bathroom rugs. Wrote Jim.

Vi and I went to city all day looking at long dresses. Betty G. and boys were here in am. Lois W. called. They are starting to clean hall (paint and paper) June’s appointment in Rochester with Dr. McLoughlin.

Merrill went to Gerald Delles auction with Howard and Evelyn. Very windy. I cleaned at our bedroom. Merrill got oil change at Matts. They are painting Lodge Hall green.

Cold. We we went to church. Put name on mailbox. Willabelle Brown is going to be staff musician. She just returned from a week in Florida. Kenny, Brenda and Kids here in evening.

Russian astronaut killed. Snow flurries. Wrote Mom and Dot. Merrill painted at Lodge Hall. I washed Lodge drapes. Merrill went to Lodge. I went to Past Grands.

Merrill helped paint at Lodge Hall. I started cleaning living room. Wrote poem for PNG night. Washed my hair.

Finished cleaning living room except rug. We went to Harrisville for Merrill’s birth certificate but town clerk is in hospital. Aunt Cora went with us. Got sweater from Aunt Cora. Past NG night at lodge.

Started cleaning dining room. Started counter top. I called Johnnie for PNG’s. Can’t get reservation for banquet. Merrill and I went to board meeting at church. 15 present. Good discussion.

Gehm’s anniversary. Vicki’s shower. I went. 18 present. Cleaned dining room. Finished counter top. Merrill went to Theresa for hair cut. Dick was robbed of $25.00. Got letter from Jim. He was made Airman First Class.

Wrote Jim. Called Mom. She has cold and can’t go to Vern’s with us. Men got posts set for pond fence. Nice day but cool wind. Danny weighs 14 pounds. Barn dance opened 9:00-3:00 am.

Fast time starts. Both tired today. We went to church. Debbie went with us. Vi called. Merrill washed car at Matts in evening.

Beautiful warm day. 80°. Vi, Leah, Lois, Minnie, Diane, and I went to city and ordered nile green staff dresses. I ordered size 20. Esther there at store. Martha and Willabelle couldn’t go.

Kim Rude’s 3rd birthday. Sent her card. Sent mote to Mom. WSCS here. 17 present. Rained about all day. Have sore neck and headache.

Had headache about all day. Baked cookies and cake in evening. Washed and made salads for tomorrow. Got WSCS secretary’s book ready for new year. Merrill built fence.

Home demonstration at Ruth Eg. Election of officers. Sharon S chairman. Mary is Vice Chairman. Ruth is Secretary. I’m Treasurer. Vi and I went to city at 3 pm and got home at 9. Bought wardrobe. Jay Farrell has been killed in Viet Nam.

Wrote Jim. Merrill and I started papering at Lodge Hall. Norma here. I went to 4-H at Paynes in evening. I made reservations for home demonstration at C-Way Tourinn for May 25. at 7:00 pm.

Vicki’s wedding. We went. She was married in Antwerp Methodist Church. Reception at Town Hall. Toby was here in evening. He is looking at horses. C. Allen and L. Hall wedding. They went to Washington DC on honeymoon.

We went to church. Vi, Merrill and I papered at Lodge Hall for 3 hours in pm. Raining and cold. Snowing in evening.

Ground covered with 2 inches of snow. Merrill, Vi, Martha, Lois W and I finished papering Lodge Hall. Debbie was here to sew in evening. 8 inches of snow in city and other places.

Mother and Daughter banquet at 6:30. Millicent and Debby went with me. Rev. Spencer spoke. Merrill went to city. Got 2 tires at Sears. $51.17. Got lawn mower at Whites. Raining. Sent for wall paper. 5 rolls for guest room. $4.50

Jay Farrels funeral. 25 killed in Viet Nam. Brought wardrobe. Wrote Jim. Sent mother’s cards. Wrote Vern’s. I went to Theresa bank and Pearls. Closed out home demonstration account. I went to Rebekahs.
