Rosie, Alice, Virginia, Mary, Fran, & I, went to Dante’s for pizza at noon. Rosie’s last day of work.

Swell day. Waxed bathroom floor. I went to Theresa for groceries. Jim & I went to 4-H at Kiechle’s.

We went out home for dinner. Jim drove for first time both ways.

Rained about all day. I got letter from Vernon. Judy Sivertson’s auction.

World Series starts. Dodgers & White Socks.

Carl, Gloria, Rosie, & Cindy, were here when I got home. Jim went to Record Hop at Philadelphia.

Took car to Gouverneur to have carburetor fixed. Got shoes & purse. Les Hall’s auction.

Carl, Gloria, & girls left at noon. Washed & cleaned. Jim went skating. We went up to Jim Hardy’s to see puppy.

Raining. Jim brought home ping pong table he made in shop. Merrill got it for him with truck. Got maps, & letters from Vernon. Mrs. Caird died today.

Raining. Got my hair done at Mills. Helen Dickson’s father died today. Rebekah’s went to Mrs. Caird’s.

Jim & I went to Theresa for groceries. Nice day. Quite warm.

Mom came home with me from work. Came on bus.

June, Eleanor, Merrill, & I left for Maryland at 2:00 from Ken’s. Stopped at motel in Pennsylvania for night. $6.25.

Got to Vern’s about 10:30. Rented motel for 2 days. Went to Washington, D.C. Hit little Negro girl crossing street. Not hurt bad.

We went out to dinner. went to Annapolis & farm at Beltsville. Very hot today. 90°.

We got home at 10:00 PM. Left College Park at 7:00 AM. Cost us $8.00 Thruway fees.

Cold. Merrill took Mom home. Tired today. I went to bed at 9:35. June Rockwood McCartin has baby girl, Kimberly June, born today.

Lodge but I didn’t go. Talked with Vi.

4-H here. 9 present. Election of officers. Cleaned house.

Washed & ironed. First snow flurries today. Jim went roller skating.

Kept cows in tonight for first night this fall.

Mom & Dad’s anniversary. Cold. Lawson Chapin hung himself this morning. Got letter from Vern.

Boys came down to practice act for 4-H. Rebekah’s installation but I didn’t go. Blanche Eager married to Joe LaLonde.

4-H achievement night at Evans Mills. Boys put on Rock & Roll number. Good. Lynn hit Teddy with truck. Not hurt bad.

We went to city. Jim got coat. $11.90. Also pants & shirt. Carl Allen came home with us to spend night. Got winter tires put on at Mercer’s. Rainy.

We went to church. Jim went roller skating. took Carl home. Made black corduroy skirt. Wrote Vernon.

Farm Bureau fellow was here. Insurance fellow was here about accident.

Rainy. Mary O’B, Alice C., Marg, Vi, Rose D., & I went to undertaking parlor to see Margaret Phillip’s husband. Kept cows in today for first.

Got head light for car. $2.50. I went to lodge. Evelyn’s first meeting as Noble Grand.

Got pictures today. Got invitation to Dad Tryon’s 80th birthday. Merrill worked on Gonyea’s barn.

Jim went to dance at Theresa. Also Marty. Joyce Graham’s last day of work.

Merrill, Jim, & I went to Beulah’s to help Dad Tryon celebrate his 80th birthday. Delles milked in evening. Drove on new state way to Adams for first. Road number 81.

Jim is 5 feet 10 inches tall. 135 pounds. I went to vote after work. Merrill voted in PM. Washed. Lilian Hale Shampine has baby boy.
