Got note from Mom. They have been sick again with colds. Called Aunt Maude. Raining.

Vernon got home tonight. Got to city about 4:00 PM. I went to Past Noble Grands Christmas party at Leah’s. Marguerite B was my Secret Pal. Raining.

I went to Gouverneur in AM. We all went to city in PM. Finished shopping. Vern & Jim went to 4-H Christmas party at Gary McKeever’s. Raining.

Beautiful day. Warm. No snow. Vern went to Theresa. Got our first colored film for camera. Didn’t go to church.

Jim is sick with flu. 100 plus temperature when I got home. Merrill went to lodge. Merrill won drill in raffle but didn’t take it as he had one like it.

Got package from Uncle Berle. 36 girls from Olga went to Margia’s for dinner. Worked until 3:30. No riders home. Had our tree in evening. I got watch & fry pans. Merrill, coat. Jim basketball & table tennis. Vern, sport coat.

Warm, green, Christmas. No snow anywhere. We went out home. Just Don’s. Dad’s, & Grandpa Haggerty, & us. took colored pictures.

I worked today. Roads very slippery to Mills in morning. No riders home. Raining all day.

Vern washed clothes. Nice day.

Grand day. I had to work 8:00 – 12:00. Got groceries at A&P. Mary & girls were here. Mary, Lynn, Merrill & I, went to Rebekah card party.

We all went to church. Cloudy day. Gladys, Ted, & Freddie Lamon were here in PM.

Stayed home for New Years Eve. Jim spent night with Marty Rudes. All night dance at Pat Eggleston’s.

Got letter from Mom & Dot Talcott (first one). Jim & Merrill went to Gouverneur & Theresa. Merrill took my watch back. Didn’t run right. Merrill got new hat. $5.98. Got new broom.

We took Vernon back to Oswego. Very stormy down that way. Stopped at Ken’s on way home. Roads slippery south of Manor.

Ken’s birthday. Nice day. Merrill went to IOOF installation. He was installed RS to Nobel Grand. Jim Hanlon Noble Grand.

Cold. Jim & I took down Christmas decorations. Wrote letter to Mom.

Howard & Mary Scee have baby girl. Terri Eileen. Very cold. Mrs. Leach isn’t very good. Edna & I went to Loblaws at noon. I didn’t go to lodge.

Took Mrs. Leach to Antwerp nursing home. Buster Barker’s birthday.

Nice day. I went to Gouverneur after work for my watch. Oil was dry in it. Merrill went to Mills. Sent for car & truck license.

Buster & Marie Barker have baby girl. Janet Michelle. Lynn, Mary, & girls, were here in evening to play cards. Merrill & I went to Theresa. Got Merrill orlon sweater. Abby & Bob Moyer have baby boy. Rusty Leroy. Aunt Maude called.

Nice but cold. Merrill, Jim, & I, went for drive. Stopped at Garmon’s & Uncle Earle’s but no one home. Stopped at Philadelphia Diner.

Jim & I went to game at Theresa. They played Mills. Merrill went to lodge. Swell day. Sent letter to Vern.

Ed Drake died today. 80 years old. Dot S. paid me. Sent cars to Doreen & Abby & Bob.

Past Noble Grands at Helen Dickson. I didn’t go. Roads kind of slippery. Snowy.

Dorothy Pitkin Riley died after operation. Got letter from Mom. 4-H at Kiechle’s. Meeting called off because Jean is sick. Jim was sick all night & today. Cold. Merrill went to Theresa.

Doreen’s 1st birthday. Very cold last night. Jim is feeling better.

Vernon called in evening. He has a chance to teach at Oswego. Jim & I went over to Evelyn’s in evening.

Snowing. Wet day. Made vegetable soup in evening.

I went to Dr. Roberts at noon. Sent me to hospital for lab tests. May have to have gland operation. Merrill paid taxes. Got Teddy’s dog license

Main road bare again. Vi & Martha rode home. Rose Dindle called. Merrill had work done on tractor.

Marty came over to stay with Jim. We started out home but was freezing rain so we came home. Truck got in ditch by Howard’s.

My throat very sore today. Wrote Mom & Vern. Jim went roller skating at Philadelphia with Marty. Still very icy.
