June Rockwood McCurtin & husband had accident. Both hurt. I was sick all day.

Doris Haggerty called to say Bob & Abby Haggerty Morgan’s baby, Rickey, died this AM. Dave Stanley in Canada is dead. Elgin called.

We went up to Uncle Len’s in evening. Abby’s baby was cute. Uncle Roy & Aunt Maude went with us. Dorothy Carleton had cancer operation

Myrtle & Alex anniversary. Abby & Bob’s baby’s funeral. Also Dave Stanley’s.

Warm. Worked on dining room in evening. Froze peas.

Finished haying today. Over 3900 bales. 8 of us went to Howard’s for fish fry. Pauline Johnston’s birthday. Vern worked in evening.

Rained in morning. Merrill & Jimmy went to city. Got can of cherries at Johnnies. $4.99. Took Vernon to work & went after him. Merrill & I started papering dining room.

I was sick all day. Clara & Glen Wallace were here but I was too sick to visit so they left.

Art, Doris, & girls, came from Vermont. Didn’t stay all night.

Rained last night. Merrill took combine to Art’s. Donna & Sharon Roggie came home with me. Went to Theresa. Took cakes over to Evelyn to bake.

I stayed all night with Rose LeClair. Rose, Milly, & I went to Sandy Creek Fair. Nellie drove my car home. Carl & Gloria & girls stopped on way home from Vermont.

Vernon & Dexter went near Cortland for combine. Left at 4:00 AM. Got back at 6:00 PM. Men went after truck we bought from Claude Simon’s for $200. Went home with Rose. Cold.

Merrill finished combining at Bechard’s. Jim went over to Marty’s. Froze beans. Had sweet corn for first. Plenty big already.

Didn’t go to church. Froze corn.

Got truck license. $13.75. Vern & I went to Philadelphia with truck. Mom called about reunion. Called Doris Haggerty.

Sent reunion invitations to Canada. Merrill drove truck to work.

Reunion at Thompson Park. I was sick so we didn’t go. Everett Strader called to say they couldn’t come. Hot. George, Nellie, & kids, stayed all night at Uncle Ray’s.

I went to work but didn’t feel very peppy. Took Vernon to Rosbrook’s after plywood.

Cooler. Jim stayed all night with Marty Rudes. Washed my hair.

Carleton baled our straw. Cool.

Wrote Mom last night but they forgot to mail it. Gave Edna Knapp my blue formal for wedding.
