A great day. 72° and 45°. I’ve been home from hospital one week. My breathing not too good. I called Esther about Lodge letter. County nurse, Alice here. Everything okay. Art and Doris here. So good to see them. Vi here twice. Florence, Angie, and Mary here. Vern called in evening.

80° and 55°. Vi and I went outside in PM to see Barb’s flower garden out front. It has a scare crow clown, several small real pumpkins added to the flowers all in blossom. Jessie here to clean. She did two tubs of wash. Feel so good to have house clean again.

83° and 65°. Another beautiful summer day. Sherri called in morning. She has a new phone. Steve called. They were coming but found out Sarah has a fever. Jim called in PM. We had a nice long visit. Florence and Angie here. Also Vi. Vern, Jolie and Juanita called in evening. Ben, wife and baby at Cindy and Ethan’s for a visit.

80° and 69°. Cloudy day. Windy. Bill fixed my window shade. I talked with Lyla. Larry has sold his place. Today is Kathy and David’s 30th anniversary. Vi, Florence, Sally here. Exercise class started but I have to wait awhile to join. I went out to tell Dawn.

72° and 53°. Cooler. A nice day. Hurricane Isabel expected here Friday. Not as strong it was. Nurse Alice M here. Her last visit unless I need her. Everything fine. My BP 120/68. I went to Metcalf room twice. Got 2 corn and a yellow tomato. Vi was here. Also Sally.

75° and 44°. A nice fresh day. I started cardiac rehab today. Vi went with me. Felt good to exercise again. Office of the Aging volunteer driver took us. Ken and Esther were at the front door while I was over to hospital. I played Pedro in evening. Good to play again.

78° and 49°. A nice sunny day one day before Isabel hits. I’m sort of lame and tired tonight. Sue B called for prayer chain for Rev Jane’s son Bill’s mother-in-law. My TV got stuck on video. I called Jim about it. Jolie called at suppertime. Only a few showers with some wind so far at Concord North Carolina. Vern called in evening. They are all coming Sunday. Vern’s birthday is Sunday. Vi, Florence and Sally here.

83° and 62°. Isabel hit here today. Some trees down and power off in places. A 40 mile wind. Not as bad as expected. I went to 2nd cardiac rehab. Tired when I got home. Sally and Florence here. Also Vi. Kay Rudes 80, died in Florida, Naples. Marty’s kids live in California.

68° and 40°. A nice day. Partly sunny. Vern’s 67th birthday. He, June, Steve’s and Dan’s here for afternoon. We all went up to the Park for a lovely picnic together, along with many bees. They brought all the food including a decorated birthday cake. They came back here for a while before they left for home A very lovely day together. My great-grandchildren are growing up so fast. Vern and June brought me a new scale that I can see. Angie, Florence, Vi and Sally here. Jim called in evening. Juanita called in evening.

73° and 45°. Partly cloudy. Windy in PM. My ride didn’t pick me up for rehab therapy. Hope called for me and I can go tomorrow at 10 AM. Florence will take me. I took Para Transit bus to eye center. My eye pressure up 22 and 28 after my hospital stays. I have to go back in a month.

67° and 61°. Raining in morning. Partly sunny. Florence took me over to therapy and came after me. Lyla came in late P to tell me the doctor sent Florence to the hospital this PM. Jim leaves for Delaware. He will be home Friday. He called in morning. He was ready to leave on bike trip. Jolie and Madison called in evening. Today is Madison’s 4th birthday. They went to Chunky Chicken for supper.

68° and 37°. Cold over night but a nice sunny day. My volunteer driver didn’t come again today so I didn’t get to rehab. I washed clothes in PM. I rode bike while clothes were washing. Angie here. Brought me a couple of apples she picked in Mexico. Jim got home today. Vi here twice. Florence got home from hospital tonight.

79° and 67°. Very windy. Thunderstorm and rain in evening. Vern called in evening. He and June leaving in morning for Glenn’s Falls . Will be home Friday. Another couple going with them. Joel called me from Iowa. Good to hear from him. Jim called in evening. He had a good get together at Delaware. Beautiful weather. Angie, Florence and Sally here. Also Mary Lafave. Sherri called for prayer chain.

64° and 53°. Rained about all night. I didn’t go to church. They were staying for lunch and meeting in PM. Vi and Andrea here for papers. Vi and Julie and girls went to Philadelphia church today. Roger and Jean Livingston were in a bad accident near Buffalo. Jean has two broken legs. Today is Andrea’s 8th birthday.

58° and 39°. Rain off and on. Only a little sun in PM. Very cold. Some one stole the vegetables out of the refrigerator so we didn’t have a framer’s market. Barb is missing an antique vase from her apartment. I called Syracuse about my bill. Kinney’s delivered $95 worth of medicine. Florence, Lyla and Angie here.

Thunder, rain and snow and hail. Ground covered in Adams and Lowville. I’ve felt horrid all day. Hard to breathe. I didn’t get dressed until four o’clock. Vi got my mail. Florence here also. I called and cancelled my cardiac rehab classes. They are hard for my arthritis. I called volunteer center also.

Cloudy day. Vi here in morning. I didn’t go for coffee and donuts. Jim, Joanne, and Lauren here. Joanne brought me apple pie. Jolie, Shawn Michael and Madison called. They were on the way for ice cream. Vern called at suppertime. They had good week in mountains. Lyla called me. I spent offering check to First UM Church for September and October.

52° and 43°. A cloudy dark day. Raining at suppertime. I didn’t get to church again. I couldn’t find a church service on TV or the radio. I miss the Rev. Schuler church not being on Channel 7 anymore. Florence brought me a couple Greek cookies. Very good. Sally and Vi here. Jim called in evening. Also Vern.

51° and 29°. Cold. Partly sunny. Jim called twice. I also called him in PM. He’s been at the garage from 7 AM. I called cardiac doctors. They changed my appointment until tomorrow at 1:30. I went to Centennial meeting in evening. Vern called when I got home.

57° and 39°. Sunny most of day. Jim called in morning to say he’d take me to heart doctor at 1:30. I saw Paul Barton. Florence Dewitt went to Syracuse cancer doctor. She goes back next week for operation. Her sister Lyla got home from Samaritan Hospital today. Vern called in evening. He has been sick all day with upset stomach.

71° and 51°. Sunny summer day. Jessie here to clean. Virginia P stopped in with picture of Scott’s wedding. His twin girls are 6 years old. Florence, Vi, and Angie here. Florence has her operation Monday the 20th. Jim called in evening.

77° and 48°. Another great summer day. Jim here on his bike to see Scott Pastor’s wedding pictures. I washed clothes for first time since my heart attack. Tiring. Vern called in evening. Jordan and Lydia have pink eye. Watertown Home Coming football game with Carthage. Watertown won 22-19. A very noisy game.

76° and 39°. Another summer day. Today is Lyla’s birthday. I called her but didn’t get a card to her. Elgin and Carmi called in morning. I filled out Heap application. Florence, Sally, Angie and Vi here. Angie brought me a couple apples. She got them at Oswego. Jolie ad Madison called in PM. They were all at NASCAR there in Concord NC. Carla and Michael visiting them fro Ohio.

73° and 40°. Nice in forenoon but colder in PM with some showers. I washed some clothes. Jim called in PM. Dawn C called about exercise class. Sherri called for prayer chain. I called Jeanette Jones on it. Vi was here. Also Florence and Sally. Shirley called. Will give me a perm on Friday. Lots of geese flying south even before daylight today. Wish I could see them flying over.

61° and 34°. A sunny day. I went back to exercise class for first. Good to be back. Dawn made us delicious pumpkin roll. I baked a chocolate cake this PM but gave most of it away toe ach one on my hall and also took some to Vi and Virginia P upstairs.

68° and 36°. Sunny in AM. Cloudy in PM. Windy. Raining in evening. Vi went with Susan and girls to Mexico for apples. Florence had her pre op tests in Syracuse today. Sally, Florence and Vi here. Vern called in evening. June was at church meeting.

Raining. Windy. Power off and on. Off in several places due to wind. I went to exercise class. I owe Dawn $20. I played Pedro in evening. We had three tables. Hope finished my Heap application for me.

52° and 45°. Rain hail, sun, and colder. Vi was here. She brought me cookies and cider. Angie brought me a piece of applesauce cake. Jim called in evening. Pastor Dora called and invited me out for super tomorrow night. She also asked Sherri and Jim Nash.

49° and 34°. A cold day. I went for coffee and donuts in morning. A good turn out to it. Florence had me sign as a witness for her in listing gifts to her family in case of her death. She has a major operation Monday for cancer. Vi and Andrea here for Times.

47° and 27°. Cold in AM. Partly sunny. I went to church with Sherri and Jim. Laity Sunday. Jim gave sermon Joanne Paster here in PM. First I’ve seen her in years. Great to see her. Vern called in PM. They made over $3000 on their church supper. Vi has a cold. I took her the paper. Florence left for Syracuse. She has operation tomorrow. Jolie and Shawn Michael called. They were on the way home from spending the weekend with Darcia and her kids.

41° and 35°. Partly cloudy. A few snow flurries. I went to exercise class. 8 out. Dawn gave us cookies. I called Lila B. Florence doing great. I played Pedro in evening. 3 tables. Gregg’s Safety Alarms installed a battery smoke alarm I my bedroom over my bed.

38° and 35°. Cloudy. Cold. Jessie here to clean. We went to store. Sherri called for prayer chain. Vi here. Also Lidia and Sally. I called Florence. She’s not so good today. She has more fluid on her stomach. Coby was here with tapes for Vi and I. Lila B called.

A dark rainy day. I haven’t felt good all day. Maybe getting a cold. Vi was here. Robert Congdon called. They are coming Tuesday. Jim Nash called about church I watched the horse races from Santa Anita California in PM and World Series in evening from NY City.

Raining all day. I didn’t go to church. Jim N brought my meal. They had a lunch with cake for Rev. Dora. She was ordained 20 years ago. Vern called in evening. He and June had just returned from Rotary Conference. Vi was here. My breathing off today.

46° and 44°. Dark rainy day. I had terrible nosebleed right after I got up. Worst one I’ve ever had. I lost a lot of blood. Florence called me from her sister’s at Clayton. I went to exercise class. 12 out. I called Jim in evening. He was at Joanne’s. He’s coming by tomorrow.
