Senior citizens party. Ginny Delles invited us. Turkey dinner. All very nice. Snowing hard most of day.

I have the flu. Feel rotten. No work done all day. Very cold all day.

Heather B has tonsils out. Cha was over in evening. Brought us fruit basket. We decorated Christmas cookies.

Jim called in morning. Jolie had baby boy born at 5:15 this morning. 8 pounds, 2 ounces, Shawn Michael. I feel better today. Patty called. Jolie called. Sounded good. Called Vern’s in evening. Went for groceries.

Youth group here caroling. Very nice. Talked with Jolie twice. Lyla called in evening. Washed clothes. I coughed all day.

Combine church services at Baptist church. I didn’t go to sunday School 34, or church 50. Merrill went. I’m coughing too much. Wrapped gifts. Washed dark clothes. We didn’t go to Baptist church. They had church full. Very nice they say.

We went for groceries. I made apple pie and party mix. Wrapped last of gifts.

Christmas Eve service at Philadelphia. Merrill went. I didn’t go. About 140 there. Very nice. Got things ready for tomorrow. Lyla brought gift for baby Shawn. He’s still in hospital with jaundice. Earl Gleason 88 died today.

Joel, Jill came about 10:30. They left about 1 to have dinner with Patty. Jim and Jolie got here about 12:00. Couldn’t bring the baby. Jim not feeling good. Gave us picture of baby Shawn.

Jolie took the baby home from hospital. Jim called in PM. They stopped by police station. We went to funeral home for Earl Gleason. June and Vern called in evening. June goes for 2nd chemo tomorrow.

Earl Gleason’s funeral. We took UMW food to Legion for it. Sunny day.

Washed clothes. Hilda Storm died today. No funeral now.

No sunday School. We went to church, 30 out. Charlie Covell preached. Rev. Carol in Ohio on vacation. Jim, Jolie and baby Shawn here in PM. First we have seen him. He’s so cute. Raining most of day.

Wrote Dr. Siegel. I’ve been coughing up a lot today.

A nice day but on the cold side. Sunny. No special plans to see New Year in.
