Snowing, ground covered. White in evening. First snowmobile by. Got letter and pictures of Uncle Berl in California. We put up Christmas tree. I made cookies in evening. Also addressed more cards.

We went to Philadelphia for groceries. Cold, down to zero in evening. I cleaned house. Decorated cookies in evening. Addressed more cards.

Packed shut-in boxes. Esther, Lois in charge. Noreen, Lois T, Marilyn and Lula and I helped. I helped deliver. Very cold. Below zero all day. Merrill broke spreader.

Cold and stormy in PM. We went to city in Am. Had to go to Ennis for spreader parts. Took shut-in basket to Gladys Simonds, Norm Ivey, Lyle Bylow and Emma Hunt. Finished Christmas shopping. I made fudge. Wrapped more gifts. Washed my hair in evening.

Sunday School program. Cantata at 11:15 service. Just great. 105 there. The church was full in evening. Beautiful service. “Jesus is the Rock”. June Anderson found frozen by her car about 9 AM. May have had heart attack. Wrapped gifts.

4-H Christmas party at Brancatella, 7:30 PM. I made cup cakes for it. Nice time. Hills, Nora, Laura and Dawn not there. Jamie only there for about 5 minutes. No parents there. Got home at 11:30.

Merrill got hair cut. I sent rest of cards. Made rolls, donuts, 2 pumpkin pies and mince pie. Got note from Dot. She got package. Merrill got notice he has a raise in his Social Security.

Christmas Eve candlelight service, 8 PM, Philadelphia. Good turn out. We went. Had our gifts in evening. Merrill gave me dining room light. I gave him suit outfit and shoes. June called in PM. Dan has scarlet fever so they can’t come Friday. Lorraine invited us over in evening. We didn’t go.

Cloudy day. We went to Mom’s for dinner. Don and Debby ate with us. Ken’s came up in PM. Roads bare going out, but snowy coming home.

Raining, snowy and sleety in AM. Jim, Patty, Jolie and Jill, Mr. Puffer and Vicky here for Christmas dinner, 4 PM. Jim’s gave me chenille robe, Merrill coveralls. Jolie stayed for weekend. Weather better in evening. Roads slippery.

Lazy day. Merrill put up new dining room light fixture. Looks great.

We went to church. Took Jolie home afterwards but she came back home with us. We brought her car out here to store it. We called Vern’s from Jim’s. Danny better. Beautiful day.

Jim’s here for supper. Jim drove Jolie’s car. They put it on the porch. Called Vern’s They will come in PM Wednesday.

Sent yearly program to 4 -H office. Sent for lesson cook books for 4-H also. Washed clothes. Washed my hair. Went to Philadelphia for groceries. Got $25 check from G [?] Fisher for organ fund.

Postage goes to 13 cents. Got thank you note from Vicki. Beautiful day. Vern’s got here about 2 PM. Jim’s came soon afterwards. Jim’s left about 6:30 as he had to go to work. Had gifts and supper together.
