Cyanide found in Tylenol cap. Batch found at Fays Drug Store. Sent card and letter to Bea Gehm. Merrill took checks to bank. We canned 7 quarts of carrots. All we had this year. Made chili. Raining.

Rocky and Tammy Slate have baby boy, Benjamin Tyler. Another nice day but cooler. There has been seven deaths from cyanide Tylenol capsules. Cactus has two blossoms. Washed clothes. Merrill finished car. Put stripe on back.

A great day, 71°. We went to church, communion today, 60 there. Nice. Jim’s here for supper. Jill is wearing glasses. Just got them. Kenny and Jeff here. Cactus has 3rd blossom. Cheryl gave Merrill flannel shirt.

We worked at parsonage all day. Merrill painted porch, cemented wall and garage floor etc. Alice, Sina, and I worked all day on mailing list. We didn’t go to Ponzi’s in evening. They had asked us. Nice day.

Paid school taxes, $341.83. Cheryl went back to work. UMW at parsonage. Good meeting. Olive Sharp there also. We folded Newsletters and got them ready to send tomorrow. June R here awhile. Raining. Jane Dinman’s birthday.

Rev. Salisbury left early this morning for Drew University. Unemployment rate is 10.1% in US. Merrill cleaned church and did some work at parsonage. Steve and 4 boys from Potsdam and Clarkson stopped in on way home to Oswego. Wrote Don’s.

Colder and cloudy. Merrill worked at Horton’s, 11-5 driving tractor (corn). Got first church newsletter. I made an apple pie and cherry pie. Got letter from Social Security about my new amount. $12.20 out for insurance. Rev. Salisbury received her degree from Drew University.

Laity Sunday, 76 out. Bob Griffin in charge. Mr. Bennett speaker. Rev. Salisbury baptized Melissa Jay Horton. Jim, Patty and girls here for boiled dinner. Joel at Audrey’s. Gary Belile cut head open with ax cutting wood, stitches.

Merrill started wood fire for first. No school or mail. Got Times. Merrill drove tractor at Horton’s all day. Agway brought first fuel oil, 67.5 gal @ $1.20. Canadian Thanksgiving. Hotels and motels packed.

World Series starts tonight, St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers. Made cookies. Merrill put wood down cellar. He worked at Horton’s in PM. Washed clothes. Ironed my long skirt. Brewers, 11-0

Vern here for lunch. Vern brought donuts. He took Steve back to Potsdam. Merrill worked at Horton’s all day. Installation at Rebekah’s, 42 present. I was installed as chaplain. Cardinals won today, 5-4.

I returned Boot’s dog tag to Albany. Merrill worked at Horton’s. St. Lewis Cardinals won World Series. Very windy. Leaves blew away. Wrote note to Jim’s. Washed. Line broke. I had rectal bleeding in evening.

Warm but cloudy. Back on standard time. Belile’s got home from Florida about 11 last night. We went to church, 103 there. Coffee hour at 10. Halloween, only 12 kids here due to Tylenol scare. Raining in evening. Merrill put winter tires on car.
