Nice day. Jolie played outside. Washed clothes. Mended girls clothes. I’ve had headache all day. Lorraine here to collect for Lyle M.

Marie here to sew in PM. Lorraine in evening. Mary here also. Had vet for cow. She has sore leg. Rainy. MYF pie sale. They cleared $152. Called Patty in evening.

I didn’t go to church. Merrill went. We took Jolie and Jill home in PM. Joel is so cute. Girls saw him for first. Cute to see them together. Our car wouldn’t start at Jim’s. Took hour to get it going. Lorraine and Marie here all day sewing. We went to Theresa funeral home for Lyle.

Danny’s 9th birthday. Sent him card, $5. Lyle Murphy’s funeral. I took Marie to Dress Evaluation. Others went by themselves. Cleaned house. “Small business” man here. We didn’t renew it. Cold but nice.

No Bible Study. Phone out in AM. Merrill went over to Pat B’s to report it. Merrill went to Theresa to get hair cut. I went to Mrs. Beardsley’s. She gave me soap cross for Elgin B. She is happy to have one go to Canada. They say Murphy baby, Cathy, is back in hospital.

Didn’t get the milk check again today. A beautiful warm day. I washed clothes and hung them out doors. Merrill cut wood for first since last fall. I didn’t go to Lodge.

Finally got milk check. 19 4-H members and friends went roller skating and to McDonalds. Mary took a load. Jamie, Jennifer, and Dawn didn’t go. Roger, Shari Rude, Brenda Backus and Patsy went. Beautiful day, warm. Called Jim’s from city.

Another nice day. Sent light bill, $118.22. Boots and I went to Philadelphia for groceries. Made donuts and 2 pumpkin pies and 1 apple pie in PM. Washed rugs. Got letter from Mrs. Beardsley.

Cleaned floors. Washed clothes. Merrill took Organ Fund Receipt to Martin Rudes.

Leap year. Orv’s 72nd birthday We went to church. Took flowers from Lyle M funeral. Rev. Cameron has flu but good sermon. Jim, Pat, girls, and Joel here for supper. Joel’s first time out. 16 days old. He is such an alert baby. Jill walking all over. We watched Sound of Music on TV until 10:30.

Nice day but rather cold. We went out to Mom’s. Juanita’s mother died last week. Goldie Backer, 72. She had cancer. Evelyn Scee still in hospital. Ken’s have had flu. Luke in hospital two days. Wrote Vern’s.

UMW. Only 8 out. Margaret’s projector light was burned out so she couldn’t show slides. Stormy all day. Ben Franklin smokes if door is open. Merrill took me to Philadelphia. He stayed with Jim M. No Bible Study. Windy.

No school. Freezing rain. Bad all day. I wrote letters. Ruth S and Beulah in Florida and Uncle Berl in California.

Vern’s leave for Florida at 4:15 PM. Very icy all day. Raining and freezing. No school again today. Got letter from Beulah Hall. Washed bedding. Washed my hair.

World Day of Prayer, 8 PM at Theresa. 5 Theresa, 21 Philadelphia present. Mrs. Johnson guest speaker. Pat and Ruth Eggleston’s 47th anniversary. Boots and I went to Philadelphia for groceries. Crazy weather. Temperature 68° today. Merrill went to Mills for water bucket and post for mail box.

Sent fire insurance, $253. Helmsmen Singers, Oswego NY at church. Very good. Fairly good crowd. Got $83 collection. Merrill went to Philadelphia to fix plastic rug at church and tie up papers.

We went to church, 97 out. Cold wind. Lazy day.

Cold with cold wind. Watched TV most of day. Feel tired. Merrill slept in PM.

I went to Bible Study with Ruth. Cornell Mastitis control here to check cows. All OK. Merrill told them not to continue. Jim’s here for supper. Took pictures of them all. First pictures of Joel.

Rebekah’s. I didn’t go. Snowing in AM and again in PM. Merrill and Boots went to Philadelphia bank and Evans Mills Agway. I washed clothes.

Ground white with snow. Warmer. Marilyn gave me B-12 shot. Got letter from Lettie. Got groceries.

Dr. Scanlon, 1:30 PM. All OK. Vern’s got home from Florida. Got letter from them. Called Jennifer Bush. 4-H canceled because of freezing rain. Merrill ordered glasses at Chellis’ $84. Frames $38, and lens $46. Got iron pills.

Raining and snowing. Windy in PM and evening. My arms are lame. Feel punk. We both slept in PM. Roads slippery.

Merrill went to church. I didn’t. Have felt terrible all day. My arms are so lame. Rev. Cameron has an inner ear infection. Can’t hear very well.

4-H dress rehearsal, 7 PM. State Office building. I didn’t go. Martha Meeks called in morning. I cleaned and made chocolate chip cookies. Pains in chest in evening. I didn’t go to PNG’s at Marguerites.

Hair appointment, 2 PM. Jim took me to Donna’s for hair cut. Very stormy all day. Jim’s came in PM but left before dark for home. I didn’t go to Bible Study.

St. Patrick’s Day. Cold and drifting snow all day. Gillette here in evening to treat 2 dry cows @ $7. Called Martha Meeks in evening.

12 below this morning. 4-H Fashion Review. I didn’t go. Girls all went that sewed. Laura Payne went to sing. I feel better but didn’t want to get out in cold. Lorraine asked me to go with Kevin and her. Nice all day. Washed. Vern’s called in evening.

Much warmer, 53° in evening. Rained. Snow going fast. Merrill got card and letter from Marg and Roy. Cleaned upstairs. We slept up there for first this winter. Washed. Went for groceries.

Cleaned downstairs. Vern, June, and boys got here about 1:30. They brought Merrill brass stove balls for Ben Franklin stove. Brought me can opener. Merrill got load of wood. Warm.

We all went to church. Had birthday dinner for Merrill. Vern’s left about 2 PM. Raining all day.

Merrill’s 67th birthday. Administrative Board meeting. Joyce made him birthday cake. 14 out. Our finances in bad shape. Down to $188. Vern called in morning. He, June, and Steve sick all night. Dan doesn’t have it.

I went to Bible Study. Jim called in morning. Patty had gall bladder attack last night. Went to emergency room. Brought Jolie and Jill out to stay. Patty went to emergency room for shot. Called Vern’s. They are better. Martha called. Merrill got birthday card from Mother Tryon.

Beautiful day. Merrill cut wood. Girls up at 5 AM. Got Esther T to go to Parsonage tomorrow in my place for Gateway Committee. Merrill got card and letter from Ken’s.

Eleanor’s 48th birthday. Sent D.Wayne card and $1. I went to store for groceries. Jim and Joel came to stay. He took Patty back into hospital. Jim went back out to see Patty. She is much better tonight.

Juanita’s and D.Wayne’s birthdays. Beautiful day. Jim went to work today. 12-8. Patty got home from hospital at 3. She came out here to stay.

40th anniversary party for Bill and Vi at Martha’s. Jim worked today. Rained terrible in evening. Simonds and Loury’s rode to city with us. Had dinner at Giovannies. Then went to Martha’s for dessert. 14 there, 7 couples.

Bill and Vi’s 40th anniversary. Merrill went to church alone. Patty and Joel slept until 10:15 AM. Jolie and I spent the PM at Evelyn’s, Nice day. Cool wind.

Jim got me eye drops. He went to Sackets. Marilyn gave me shot. Jolie and I went to Philadelphia. Jim, Merrill, and Jolie cut wood in PM. Merrill cleaned the floors. Got letter from Ruth Schell in Florida. Merrill put up mail box he broke off.

Lodge fashion show. I sold tickets. About 75 there. Made $41 on tickets plus 10% commission. Patty did my hair and nails. Jim worked. Goes in at 4 AM in the morning. Got letter from Mrs. Beardsley.

Merrill sent Payne’s bill for hay, $340. Patty and Jim went up to Maureen’s dress shop. Patty got $57 worth of clothes. Pants and tops. Mrs. Johnson brought large tray of cookies and cupcakes.

Nice day. Rebekah’s District meeting at Philadelphia. 36 present, 6:30 ham dinner. Linda Wilcox new DDP, Theresa. Patty went to Philadelphia for groceries. Wrote Vern’s. Washed.

Men cut wood in PM. Cold wind. I was tired all day. Slept in PM. Washed clothes. Wrote up Rebekah District Meeting minutes.

Jolie went to Brenda’s. Merrill and I did income tax. Jill and I went to Bible Study. Jim went to sports banquet. He spent night at Sackets.

Jim came after Patty and girls after he got over work at noon. Patty has hair appointment at 1:30. They spent night at Sackets. I kept Joel here for weekend.
