Dad’s appointment with Dr. Summa at 9:45 AM. Mom, Dad, & I went to city. Dad got two pair of glasses. $29.00. Exam $10.00. Got home at 6:30. Stopped at Beulah’s. Men threshed at Bechard’s & Louis’

Finished reaping grain. Quite warm. Men threshed at Steeles. Was up to Gladys Mercer’s. Got ready for threshers. Beulah & Les were over. Night Blooming Cyrus plant blossomed. Very beautiful. Frank Pickard died today.

Made an appointment with Dr. McAskill for Vernon on November 18. Merrill & Kessel helped build silo at Rappole’s. Wrote Dr. Summa. Carthage schools will not open until September 18 because of polio.
