Awfully cold last night. 18° below. Didn’t wash. Painted cupboards & new woodwork. Merrill went to Lodge.

2nd Bible study lesson at Mrs. Whiteford’s. I went. Very cold again last night. 24° below. No school today because of the cold.

Rebekah’s. Very stormy. Merrill took me over to Lodge. Warmer.

Quarterly church conference. 2nd plastic bag lesson at Marguerite Beach’s. I didn’t go because it was so stormy. Some of us to get it later. Boy’s didn’t go to school because it is so stormy. Most schools closed but didn’t close Philly.

World Day of Prayer at Congregational Church. 32 there. Still stormy. Merrill went to Lodge supper at Evans Mills. Big crowd. Quite cold.

Nice day & evening. Vernon went to 4-H meeting. Baked cake & doughnuts.

Quite cold & frosty. Went out home for dinner. Roads quite bare.

Washed clothes. Tore paper off boy’s play room. Merrill went to Lodge. Vernon brought home new book ends he made at school

Went to Home Bureau District meeting at Grange Hall. Very cold. Sent for cloth for suit.

Bible Study at Aunt Lou’s. I went. Still cold . We all went to Grange. Took in 4 new members. First ones in juvenile group,

Merrill & I washed woodwork to ceiling in playroom. Cold. Drill practice at Rebekah’s. Sent for Grange collars.

Rebekah card party. We didn’t go. Went to city with Helen in morning. Over to Vi’s in PM for bag lesson. Was 30° below last night.

Merrill, Vernon, & I painted playroom woodwork to ceiling. Ironed in evening. Had pop corn.

Boys & I went to Sunday School. Made most of pocketbook. Warmer & thawing. Quite windy. Put up new shades.

Sent for book, The Greatest Story Ever Told. Washed clothes & papered playroom. Took a good fall. John White died last night. Merrill went to Lodge.

Settled playroom. Went over to Flossie White’s in PM.

Windy & warmer. Shampooed my hair. John White’s funeral. Merrill went to funeral. I went to Lodge in evening. Snowing & blowing.

Stormy day. Home Bureau in evening at Gwen’s. Merrill took Helen & I. Got stuck going over. Finished plastic bag lesson.

Merrill, Vi, & I went to city in forenoon. Got Jim new everyday jacket. Grand day. Went to Bible study # 4 in PM.

Cleaned & did baking. Snowy. Went to party at Henry Pollock’s in evening. Nice time.

Grand day. Didn’t go to church or Sunday School. Boys went sliding & skiing.

Washed clothes. Baked. Went over to Vi’s & fitted patterns for suits. Merrill helped set up oil burner in church dining room. Merrill went to Lodge in evening.

W.S.C.S. meeting at Mrs. Ranas. I didn’t go. Worked on suit. Made cotton skirt of feed bag. Boys got school pictures. Have myself a new Toni Wave.

Snowed & blowed. Road full until evening. Went to Grange in evening. All of us. No school because of storm.

Bible study #5. Postponed as Aunt Lou is sick. Grand day. Went over town. Merrill cut tree back on [property] line fence.

Rebekah’s drill practice. Went over to Vi’s & worked on suits in PM. Snowing in evening but has been a grand day. Dorothy called to see where Juanita was.

Cleaned & baked. Very stormy in morning. Cross Roads (North Pole) Restaurant burned at 7:00 this morning.

Went out home for dinner. Went to Lacona to see Mary Stinson. Stopped at Ken & Eleanor’s. Grand day.

Washed clothes. did ironing. Worked on suit. Merrill went to Lodge. Had dart game with Antwerp.

Bible Study # 5. I went. Started working on suit bag.

Merrill’s birthday. Also Mary Stinson’s 85th birthday. Made Merrill cake & made ice cream. He got several cards. I went to Lodge in evening.

Washed living room woodwork. Stormed so we didn’t get to Home Bureau at Flora’s. School let out early. Called Mom about calf.

Painted living room floors. Snowy. Boys didn’t go to school because the road wasn’t plowed in time. Went to city in PM. Got new rug for living room. Vernon went too.

Eleanor’s birthday. Sent her card. Washed curtains. Baked. Vernon varnished book case.

Grand spring day. Went out home for dinner. Took calf out to Hodges. Didn’t go to church. Settled living room.

Worked on suit. Made bag like suit. Raining. Merrill went to Lodge. Road very muddy. Had vet for cow.

Washed clothes. Bible study #6 in PM. I went. Rebekah’s practice in evening. I went. Vernon had booster shot for diphtheria.

W.S.C.S. meeting at the parsonage. My last meeting as President. Margaret Waters is President. I’m Vice President.

Vi & I went to city to see King of Kings at Avon. Drill practice at Rebekah’s in evening. Got Vernon new rubbers. size 8. $1.98.

Grand day. Merrill went to Lodge practice. Called Mom about horse for Claude S.

Went to party in evening for Bill & Vi’s 14th anniversary which was Tuesday. Baked. Party at Esther & Ernie Buker’s.

Boys & I went to church & Sunday School. Cleaned cupboards.

Washed & ironed. Merrill went to Lodge. They played dart baseball at Theresa.

W.S.C.S. meeting here. 25 present. Very muddy.

Merrill & Vernon went out home with Claude. Martha came home from school with Jim. Bill & Vi came over in evening after her. I didn’t go to Bible study.

Merrill, Jim, & I went to city. Got Vernon new shirt. Jim shoes. Worked on suit in evening.We didn’t go to communion at church [Maundy Thursday] Merrill went to Lodge at Evans Mills.

Went to Good Friday Service in PM. Stopped at Vi’s. Worked on suit.

Finished suit. Fixed Vernon’s suit. Pressed Merrill’s, Jimmy’s, & Vernon’s suits. Did baking.

Easter Sunday. Boys & I went to Easter breakfast.We all went to Sunday School & church. Large attendance. Grand day.

Dad’s birthday. Washed & did ironing. Merrill went to Lodge. Grand day. Carl was over & he & Merrill took down some of old electric light line.
